Daily Activities Menu Soft Lock / UI Freeze – Account-Specific Issue
Hello EA Support Team, I would like to report a persistent issue affecting my Plants vs. Zombies 2 account. Issue Description: The Daily Activities menu becomes completely unresponsive after opening it. The Daily Activities window appears normally, but the UI freezes and I am unable to interact with anything on the screen. Symptoms: The Daily Activities popup opens automatically and/or remains stuck. The Close (X) button does not respond. Tapping anywhere on the screen has no effect. The game itself does not crash. All other game modes continue to function normally. Affected Areas: Daily Activities: Not accessible due to UI freeze. Adventure Mode: Working normally. Arena: Working normally. Penny's Pursuit: Working normally. Other menus and gameplay features appear to function correctly. Troubleshooting Performed: Force stopped the game. Cleared application cache. Restarted the device. Switched between Wi-Fi and mobile data. Verified the game is updated. Tested on both Android and iPadOS devices. Reinstalled the game. Results: The issue persists across multiple devices and operating systems using the same account. Because the problem follows my account between Android and iPadOS, I suspect the issue may be related to account data or corrupted Daily Activities data stored on the server. Duration: This issue has been occurring for a long time and has not resolved itself after daily resets, application updates, or device changes. After weeks of this game being nonfunctional, I was hoping the latest update would help, but no such luck. Graphics still missing in many events (see screenshots), game crashes randomly, game still crashing on certain menu selections like plant almanac and daily event. Game crashes after watching ads to completion and still gives no daily quest credit for watching. No iPad specific instructions for troubleshooting have ever been shared. There is a sync bug in PvZ2.. And when I open the home page, it looks like it's downloading additional data even though I've already downloaded all the assets. When entering penny's pursuit/arena/adventure/almanac/shop/dan garden always download asset data.. Using too much data and battery.. And after I bought the Cold Snapdragon plants, after completing the challenge the PopUp Unlocked Cold Snapdragon always appears... Please fix it! Pvz2 has been crashing every single time I tried playing it for months on end. It has gotten to the point where I'm crashing immediately on the loading/title screen before the game even manages to finish loading all its contents. I have first documented this issue around last Thanksgiving, and it seems like this problem still hasn't been fixed despite multiple patches. At first, I thought that this was a problem on my end, but after a bit of troubleshooting, it still didn't get better. I'm playing pvz2 on my iPad with iPadOS of 17.7.11, which is supported according to the App Store. (You'll need a minimum of iPadOS of 13.0). This indicates that it is most likely not a hardware/software issue. I've deleted and reinstalled the app. I've cleared the offloaded and clear its cache. Again, it still didn't fix all the crashes. At this point, I'm really lost on what to do. I have monitored the forums waiting for an EA representative to give an answer, but I'm still left in the dark.
