Hard crashing on console [Xbox Series X]
Hard crashes are still occurring post-patch on Xbox Series X and PS5. There are multiple posts across here, Reddit, the official Bioware discord, etc all with the same issue. Randomly the game will crash, with not easily identifiable causes. The game will sometimes just crash the game, other times it will completely crash the console itself, powering it off. It will happen in combat, when paused, out of combat; there doesn't seem to be a specific trend. Sometimes it will be an hour between crashes, but more often than not it's in <10min increments. No settings changes or fixes address the issue. It happens in both performance and fidelity modes. Could we get an acknowledgement that Bioware is investigating this issue? There has been no direct acknowledgement that Bioware is aware of this issue and many people were hoping this patch would resolve it.UNEXPECTED ERROR loading Final round in Ones Eliminator
Every time when the Final round of the Ones Eliminator Tournament is starting I get an UNEXPECTED ERROR showing in the top of the screen. (Black text in a white border). This is in the screen where you would see your 2 opponents with their skill level and amount of goals and hits in their previous 2 games. I notice that the player names are not shown, just a - sign. After this error I return to the matchmaking screen again, this time without music in the background. Also new attempts from this matchmaking result in the same result. After forfeiting the Tournament I come back in the World of Chel Hub where I see an error code. Refer to the two attached files. I use the disc version of the game NHL 25. I have already tried deleting and reinstalling the game. Please help! I can't obtain the trophy related to winning a Ones Eliminator Tournament. Additionally: I tried to use an other jersey (one that I was able to play the finals with before), I switch my user emblem to the standard EA emblem, the same for my banner. I copied my loadout from slot 4 to slot 1. Another attempt resulted on almost the same result, but this time the Unexpected error text was not shown, I could see 1 other opponent and see the player names, but 1 opponent was not shwoing at all. The screen similar to the one displayed in the attached picture was shown for 30 minutes when I decided to close the game.44Views0likes0CommentsMy NHL 25 Crashes daily
My nhl crashes without fail on a daily basis. I have taken my xbox apart, cleaned it entirely and have tried every single fix possible that I could find online and still nothing. EA released an update saying they fixed the issue but this has been happening on and off since NHL22 for me. Extremely frustrating as all I play is EASHL and HUT and both of my records in this modes are destroyed because of this happening constantly. I have an xbox series x.72Views1like15CommentsStuttering Temporary Solution?
Hi all I have a possible solution for stuttering issues on a PC, with or without a multimonitor setup ( I have 3x 4K monitors). I am unsure of the correct actions for an Nvidia card, as I have an AMD GPU. I was getting ridiculously high FPS (up 160 fps) even though I was using a custom graphics setting in 4K, Fade-touched textures, and ultra ( I think ) with Ray Tracing turned off. I am running the AMD beta drivers. Resetting the Shader Cache seems to have fixed the cause of my specific stuttering issue. However, I have saved my game now, so I will be keen to see if the stuttering reappears at any time to see if it is related to the Shader Cache. In Adrenaline software, find the setting under "Global Gaming Experience." I have attached my DxDiag in case it helps Bioware and EA / AMD patch in some permanent fixes. I hope by sharing my experience, I can share a possible workaround for the time being with my fellow gamers suffering from stuttering problems, albeit a temporary solution. RegardsSteam Deck Constant Crashes
I can't get more than 5 minutes into the game without it crashing. It took me almost 2.5 hours to get through the character creator and get a continue file. I have tried different proton versions, deleting the shader cache, updating the steam deck, moving every graphical setting to its lowest - and nothing. I can start the file, but I can only play for 2-5 mins at a time, and then it crashes the whole deck anyway. This is genuinely unplayable. I'm past the two hour mark on steam after trying so many different ways to fix these issues, so now so I can't even get a refund. If anyone has any other ideas or solutions, please please let me know. Short of disassembling the deck, I'll try anything!SolvedPoor Performance - FPS stutters
Hiya, I've seen some other threads on this but was told to ask for help here by EA's service help themselves so that the community management could see it? I have a gaming laptop which I believe meets not just minimum but also recommended requirements -Eliminia ProProcessor - Intel® CoreTM i7 14 Core Processor 13700H RAM - 32GB PCS PRO SODIMM DDR4 3200MHz Graphics Card - NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 4070 (updated to the latest driver, which featured veilguard specifically) 2 x SSD drives, after my first attempts at playing I re-installed Veilguard on my second, completely empty drive. I have all settings to the lowest they can get, triple buffering is disabled, I'm supposedly using around 4GB of VRam of a possible 8-ish. Every few seconds there's a visual or audio stutter, the frequency of which makes combat incredibly frustrating and ruins any cutscenes. I'd like to run this game at better graphics than just performance based, but even at this it's not a smooth gameplay. The game is installed via Steam - I have already tried verifying game files. I have tried setting my NVIDIA graphics card settings to prioritise Veilguard as high performance, I have done a clean install to an empty SSD which has 1TB of space, I've updated the graphics card to the latest update, I've tried that anti-stutter mod, triple buffering is disabled, no other applications run in the background, my laptop is on charge and is only a year old, and yet even at the lowest possible settings I can't play this game properly. Any thoughts?Heavy stuttering on multi-monitor setup
Since the novermber 12th patch i have been experiencing extreme stuttering throughout the entire game. The problem occurs in all areas of the game, menus, startup cinematics and the game itself. I have figured out the stuttering starts when I engage a different monitor when the game is running. weither this is accidental and for a split second or for a short time to send a message in discord or other chat functionalities. The stuttering picks up the second i click into a different monitor. My pc's specs are well above the recommended and required specs needed to run the game. AMD frame smoothing also seems to be disabled after this last patch, I can not share any crash files since it does not pertain to a crash. (I am logged in with the same account to the game as I am here)Game is constantly crashing to desktop and crashing steam
I've seen people with similar complaints but I've yet to see anyone with a solution. At this point, I'm convinced it's an issue with the actual game and the only way for the crashes to stop is for Bioware to release a patch and address the issue. The game originally ran fine for me but 2 days after release the game just started randomly crashing to desktop. No error or anything. It also crashes steam as well and I am unable to relaunch steam or any other app, instead I get the message, "this app is unable to run on your PC." Everything is fixed once I restart my PC. At this point, the game crashes anywhere from 1 min in to maybe 30 mins, on medium settings if I'm lucky, and maybe 10 mins max on high settings. The game used to run perfectly for me on high settings with no issues on release. I have an AMD graphics card and CPU that are above the recommended requirements. I have tried playing this game on steam deck and while the FPS sucks and I have to use low settings, there are no crashes. I have tried everything including: uninstalling and reinstalling the game verifying game files both deleting shader cache and restoring it uninstalling and reinstalling steam updating my graphic drivers and chipset updating my BIOS resetting my BIOS settings to default both enabling and disabling XMP completely uninstalling and reinstalling windows enabling DLSS lowering game settings and turning off hair stand ...and more that I probably can't even remember right now. I have spent hours trying to find a fix. At this point I don't even expect anyone to have a solution but I'm making this post so EA and Bioware are aware of this constant, random crashing that is making the game that I spent $80 on unplayable.
