Funny pics
Do you ever capture pictures from fun or awkward situations in your game? Often my sims will make me smile just because they did position weirdly, making a totally normal situation look funny. - Hello again, Hairdresser, I got a complaint! Your solution turned out to be unpractical. Are you sure I can't have a ponytail, without the horse?5.6KViews52likes598CommentsI did dumpster diving 1,000 times to see the items
Okay so, I did a thing and made my sims dumpster dive around 1,000 times (yes, I counted) and kept all the items I found and collected them together to see the general range of items you can find from dumpsters. I love doing challenges where I need to furnish my whole home without using buy mode at all but I've struggled a lot to find especially kitchen counters and been wondering could I furnish a kids bedroom with dumpster items. So, I did an experiment with 25 dumpsters and 8 sims in one lot. All the sims were freegans and had the collector bonus trait and I used only the "dive for deals" option. In the pictures you can see the results, there's everything I found - except dyes (I threw them away to create more trash, there were soo many of them) and upgrade parts. As you can see, I found e.g. 33 bikes, 11 fridges, 4 ovens, 26 beds, 4 computers, 18 TVs (I'm laughing how I got 7 of the framed TVs from the "Cozy Celebrations Event" that aren't even available yet lol), 17 bathtubs, 2 showers, 4 toilets, 3 normal counters and 8 islands. I didn't count how much money I found but the largest single amount I found was 248 simoleons. I know there's other stuff you can find as well but I think this is pretty interesting from thousand dumpster dives. The small number of showers, toilets and kitchen counters is crazy. I also noted that I didn't find a single bookshelf, no skill items, and very few collectibles, I did this for my own interest but thought to share the results in case someone else might be interested too 😄 I don't know if there are some factors that affect what type of items you find (the lot type? neighbourhood? world?), feel free to share if you have any insight on that.1.4KViews23likes19CommentsVisit Middle-earth
It started with the Golden years ring necklace and how it reminded me of Frodo Baggins. I ended up creating Frodo and thought Frodo would be lonely without Sam, so I created him too. Frodo could have been adventurous and his aspiration could have been outdoor enthusiast, but I decided bestselling author would be more fun. Frodo knows Elvish language, so he is proper (I considered bookworm too). Sam could have been foodie, but glutton is funnier. Sam's love for Bill the Pony made him animal enthusiast 😊 I would love to create Merry and Pippin too, because they would get goofball and foodie traits, but I would have quite many hobbits in my game then, so I have to think about it 😅 Saruman has been in my game for years and today I tried to create Sméagol/Gollum as demanded by Simmingal 😄 I would have loved to give Gollum soulmate aspiration, because of its description, but it wouldn't have really worked gameplay wise so he got angling ace instead 🐟494Views22likes33CommentsTownie Fashion Police
Sul sul, Simmers. Townie Fashion Police was one of my favorite threads in the "old forum." It was always good for a few laughs. Z and I think it's time to bring it back, and so does our friend Daniel. When your festival attire is more outlandish than that of the cosplayer you're sitting with, that's a job for the Townie Fashion Police. "What did I do to deserve this?" Daniel asks the camera. At least he has a tasty cheeseburger to enjoy.2.2KViews19likes159CommentsBest career outfit ever
Yesterday I started to play a new family. The mother of the family joined the social media career. At the end of the work day I noticed she had a career outfit that was quite ... different. This screenshot was taken in CAS just before I set her careeroutfit to something more senseble. If someone would ask me to make the weirdest career outfit ever, I honestly wouldn't be able to come up with a result like this.406Views16likes11CommentsI Never knew!
So I normally build or hop form family to family but, I decided I was going to stick to one family and finally get a legacy going. Anyway second gen, I decided to send her to university and, got her the soccer scholarship. Got a notification she hurt her arm, didn’t think much about it until I saw the bandage!! How have I never noticed they just pop on and stay on until it’s ‘healed’. Love finding random things after playing for 25 years 🙈 a lot of you prob knew about this but I had never seen it lol. Anyone else have anything like this happen to them? sorry for the bad photo I snapped it for a friend who had also never seen it before lol282Views16likes8CommentsNo fairies? Here's what (maybe) went wrong...
Just for fun... maybe. So, imagine a meeting taking place at the The Sims 4 Developing Team Center HQ, 25th floor. Let's assume the CEO of this division is named Mr John, and head of the team for the next pack is Hugo (who might need to consider some hearing aid). Mr John: So, let's start our meeting. Hugo, are you ready to present us, the board members, with the progress so far? You got the case during a very busy (vacation) period, so we are now very excited to get an update on your work with this new pack. Hugo: Sure, Mister! The new pack looks... well, interesting, and definitely something most simmers never played with before in the sims. I'm thrilled to tell you guys more. Mr John: Please move forwards. Some of us can stay for only 15 minutes. Hugo: Sure! Let's dive into The Sims 4 - The Ferry! Mr John: Ferry? Hugo: Yes, it will be great! The title can of course be adjusted as we see needed. The core features are what we worked the hardest on, and I have not forgotten what you told me about so many fans requesting a Ferries pack. Mr John: No, wait! I never said anything about ferries! I told you about so many requesting FAIRIES! That's not the same! Have your team spent 6 months on developing ferries for the game? Hugo: Jupp. It was quite difficult as we were told there is no plans to add cars to the game, and, well, you know. A ferry with no cars would need something else... than cars... Mr John: (breathing heavily) Hugo: We created a brilliant ship that sims can walk into. We thought of adding a shuttle bus just to get them safely on board. And the new "I love ferries" trait caused some extra thinking. Randomly blowing a little whistle felt a bit narrow. But we figured it would be better focusing our talent on the features inside the ferry. Mr John: (grunting to himself) Talent? Hugo: The ferry has about 10 different settings. Settings can only be changed before walking on board. One setting is floral decoratives including tons of garden gnomes and butterflies. Another is a dark inferno where the simmer must try to avoid that the ferry will sink - after all we don't know if Grim will refuse to go underwater to collect souls. Another setting is a jolly Winterfest shopping ferry, with plenty of small shops, kiosks and activities, including 4 new collections. Aaand, we have one super exciting setting where it turns out that your sim by mistake joined a ferry booked by a large group of retired seniors, so your challenge will be to find the only Adult sim that is on the ferry that day - will be tricky because all seniors - men and women - have dressed up as Bella Goth... Mr John: Please stop! No theme involving fairies? Hugo: Yes, all of them involve the ferry! That's what this pack is all about! Leaving the harbor, then arriving another harbor and leave the ferry. Perhaps returning back home a few hours later. I just wish we had cars so that everyone could drive their car on and off the ferry, but to please the board we remembered to add a couple cars as set dressing. Mr John: Hugo, this is not what we asked you to develop! You are fired! Hugo: Thank you! Mr John: For what? Hugo: For you saying that I am hired! I appreciate that! Disclaimer: I'm pretty sure that neither the developing team nor the board work like this 😄332Views15likes6Comments
