Will we ever get a ragdoll update
First of all I don't mind the ragdoll physics, it can be more brutal than in skate 3 but your character just goes limp and your legs curl up, in skate 3 your character will flail around and try to break the fall with their hands and in this game your character just accepts their fate and breaks the fall with their face.New Skate Area
I switched on the game for the first time in a while, excited to try the new Super Ultra Mega Resort (S.U.M.R.) area. I thought it would be a real throw back to the original Skate games. I fast travelled to the spawn spot, to only find a-n-o-t-h-e-r pay wall.... I guess I will try again in a few weeks. Shame. I mean, at least we were warned by EA prior to the game release that pay walls we going to feature heavily in the game :)Cosmetics Suggestion: Football Jerseys
With the launch of EA FC and its The Grounds area, it suddenly occurred to me: wouldn't it be sick to have a crossover cosmetics drop in-store with some top tier football club jerseys? It's quite common in skate culture now to wear (vintage) football jerseys. Could be a fun way to use the EA ecosystem to its full potential.Too much "crack" in some recent pants
These recent pants have a weird thing going on where they probably have a wrinkle of some kind or just have too much crack inherently modeled into it I suspect some of it is a texture issue - more so the jorts (as it looks kind of fine).. but the red pants here are a uniform-ish texture so it's purely the model making that crack. I would suggest going in the game and looking over the skinny pants in person and rotating the character. I feel like the crack looks worse than the image shows. These pants are good examples of how this area should look, they are similar form fitting pants: Here's a crude drawing that tries to show the difference. I kind of exaggerated the issue but I hope I make my point clear: I know these models probably been scanned in somehow and its super accurate to the model IRL. but for it to look good in different poses, motion, etc. I think it might be better to remove the depth of the crack at the middle to top, but not change the proportions - im not asking to shrink the whole area. And things like tights look fine since they make sense to have some crack. I think it may be case by case.. Maybe some pants look better with the crack completely smoothed over, maybe some only need a small adjustment overall, or need to be flattened middle up -- it's hard to visualize since im not a modeler, but atleast the crack should be smoothed to some extent overall. BTW the skinny pants of overall profile shouldnt change. The way the fabric tapers straight down from the backside is pretty normal - ive worn skinny pants that have more room in the pelvis region and they tend to do exactly that.. It's just specifically the crack is really goofy looking, like the pants have been shrinked wrapped specfically there for some reason despite the somewhat room-y fit.. It doesn't seem like it follows physics, especially the regular fit red pants (and the indigo/blue variants of that mesh).Skating Passion Since 1987 - Sharing Videos, Tricks and Stories
Hello, passionate about skateboarding and a purist with about fifteen years of IRL skateboarding in the "golden years" from 1987 onwards, I launched a YouTube channel to share this passion, without pretension, just for fun. My goal isn't to post videos at a set, calculated frequency just for the sake of posting, I simply enjoy the game while saving certain shots. These might spark an idea or a concept, and if so, I set them aside to produce a video that makes sense to me. Being able to exchange feedback afterward, whether positive or negative, but always constructive, is a significant bonus. Here's the link to the channel : HK-SINISTER Thank you for taking the time to read this.. Please feel free to share your thoughts; I'm open to all your suggestions. Peace !1.6KViews11likes96CommentsAdd Max's iconic double handplant trick from An Extremely Goofy Movie!
Hello, With the game embracing fun, cultural, and retro elements, it would be a legendary addition to include the iconic handplant trick performed by Max Goof at the end of the movie An Extremely Goofy Movie (2000). In this trick (which was also featured in the old 2001 PC game Disney's Extremely Goofy Skateboarding), the skater does an invert on a rail or coping, balancing with both hands flat on the grip tape of the skateboard instead of holding the ramp or the board's edge. Adding this specific animation as a tweakable handplant or a special trick would be an amazing easter egg for Disney and skateboarding fans alike. Thanks for reading!Season 5 Sumo Suit & bouncy objects physics feedback
Hello, I just unlocked the Sumo Suit from the Season 5 Premium Pass. While the idea is incredibly fun, the bouncing physics feel a bit disappointing. Right now, no matter the height of the drop or the speed of the impact, the bounce always remains exactly the same. It doesn't scale with velocity or inertia. This is also true for most bouncy props in the game: they don't bounce enough to be truly useful or fun. It would be amazing if the dev team could tweak the physics so that dropping from a massive height results in a huge, fun ricochet. Thank you for considering this!
