(IDEAS) ~400hrs playing SKATE.
IDEAS: Backpacks, bags, or accessories. A lot of the time a skater needs to leave the house prepared. You need to bring drinks, food, money, music, tools, wax, parts, etc. Most skaters keep this stuff in their car but since we don't have cars I want a backpack. Branded backpacks, bags, etc? You could literally sell a Loui Vouiton bag to the girl skaters and sell Nike, Addidas, HUF, etc for the men. 2. Piercings Self explanatory. (ears, facial, multi, lip, eyebrow, dermals, etc.) 3. Tattoo rework. I know you guys just brought them to the game and I love them. I personally wear the largest and most vibrant versions of the Stacked Frogs and the Leopard on my arms. I really think we need to rethink how we applied Tattoos because if you think about it, we need more mappable tattoos for each limb. Please allow like 4-5 per limb because some people have a lot of tattoos like myself and would really enjoy placing others elsewhere. Plus the more tattoos we can wear the more we buy. ;) 4. Board shapes. This was teased about for Season 3 and I haven't heard much since. I would love to see old school boards, newer shapes, widths, etc. 5. Grabs while powersliding. We just need an animation for grabbing the board mid powerslide maybe have the option to drag your hand too and touch the ground? Would make for a good feeling being able to choose just a grab slide or a grab slide touch. 6. Freestyle moves. I was skating and trying to think how we could apply freestyle animations to a skater that's already riding the board. When riding the board regularly, if you press the right bumper nothing really happens. We could turn the right bumper into a button you can hold, using the left and right sticks for alternate moves, you could then hold the bumper and use the sticks to adjust your skater. I'm imagining like longboard aura farming, walk the dog, etc. This could really elevate the feel SKATE already has and I am jonesing to be like Andy Anderson. 7. Hippy Jumps (IMPORTANT!!!!) Season 4 has blundered my hippy jumps by accident. Something has changed and now when I hippy jump off my board and press B (kick) quickly, my board no longer continues forward and I don't stay in place anymore like we used to. Now, instead of the prior interaction (staying behind as the board goes forward) you just keep going with the board and I have been trying to find a new way to launch the board ahead of me and cannot figure out a new way. ** HIPPY JUMP EXPANSION: I would love to see a few hippy jump improvements and these are my ideas: I am the sole creator of the hastag "#hippyjumpparkour" on TikTok. I do some crazy stuff not gonna' lie. I would love to see hippy jumps be possible during manuals or maybe during shuvits too. Why I want the hippy jumps during manuals and shuvits is because I'm imagining being able to manual\shuvit right before a hippy jump allowing me to enter my hippyjumpparkour in different ways. I want there to be more bounce on the board as it hits things head on like a real wooden board would do, if you imagine doing a shuv it and kind of shooting the board forwards with your back foot (board goes spinning forwards) you could then bounce it off obstacles like poles or ledges or walls and get back on it. Same thing for manuals, sending the board forward in a manual (manual, hippy jump input, press kick button quickly) and since the manual was initiated first, the hippy jump would happen and your board would ride on its back trucks for a few feet before tipping forward? this would help tip the board upwards for sending it off a staircase onto a handrail. I seriously need the hippy jump quick kick board send back though. Do not overlook this one please. 8. Casper slides, Primo slides, Pogo Just imagine 4 skaters pogo-ing down the street. Case closed. 10. Ability to throw board out in front of you. Didn't the older games have this? We should fr bring this back because it'd be so fun for throwing it on a rail or whatever. That's all I can think of for now. Just wanted to say finger flips are sick, and the new clothing you guys have made recently is some of the best work I've seen yet. I love the long sleeve shirt under the short sleeve shirt. Something about it.Let's remove ⭕/B from doing dark catches
The titles says it all. I hate the fact that this feature is even a thing, and it make it hella annoying to do Tailwalks, Airwalks, Christ Airs, and No Foot Airs, because everytime you attempt the trick it'll give you a dark catch. Now, is it technically a skill issue, because I'm pressing ⭕/B slightly before the grab, yes. However, do the other buttons have this issue? No, they don't. Secondly, nobody uses B or ⭕ to dark catch, we all use r1 or rb. I think it's a simple fix and it'd massively improve the flow of four tricks.Tricks animations cancelling mid air ?
Since the season 4 I've noticed weird animations when my skater catches a trick like a high pop kickflip into a bank or high switch ollie, the animation seems to be cancelled mid air and the board stays flat where normally you kinda do a trick leaning slightly forward. Every time I reload the game or change server this "bug" doesn't seems to be here but after a couple of minutes every time it happens.Hippy Jump's are different
Hey Skate, I love doing hippy jump parkour. I like to hop off the board, slide down a ledge, get back on the board. I like to run on the wall and jump off and get on my board. After the update, a portion of my hippy jump enjoyment has been completely removed totally. I USED to be able to hippy jump quickly, tap B (xbox controller) to do a "KICK" but do it fast, so the board would continue travelling in the direction you're facing but your body would stop. This would let me send my board up ramps alone, come back to me. This would let me shoot my board in front of me off a stairset onto a rail to grind it. This is HUGE for freestyling I feel as this was a fun identity I've accepted as a skater. Not sure if this was on purpose or accident, but if you bring it back imagine if we add a little bounce to a head-on board collision or allow us to hippy jump mid manual/shuvit so we can add rotation to it and ricochet our board off obstacles and return to it? I have dreams here.Training Mode?
wheel hardness and truck looseness should be adjustable like in skate 3. I was kind of thinking this while looking at the skatepedia, but itd be neat/convenient for there to be a way to keep your player suspended to practice some of those arial tricks. granted, you can just jump off of buildings easily — just could be a convenient for noobs to improve. Also the skatepedia doesnt have no complyBowl physics
I feel like the vert physics are very strict and block out a small amount of creativity, mainly due to the inability to do smooth stalls. I think that there should be a way to do a tail stall or any other kind of stall without flying 3 feet out of the ramp first just how the hand plant behaves. There should be a way to just push in a direction on your right joystick in order to do a stall. I have tried and the only stall I can really get is an axle stall by doing a power slide which isn’t really how you would do one irl:/ another thing is the way the transition from a stall to riding functions and that there is not really a good way to get back into the ramp after going into a stall and the only way to get out of the stall is to Ollie and even if it is a tail stall especially you should be able to smoothly ride back in.Does anyone have any tips on doing a 1080?
It seems like whenever I hold my right stick(trick stick) down then my left stick down & slowly rotate to turn my arms for a fast spin, it just stirs me into a direction I’m slowly swinging to. Very hard to explain but instead of keeping a straight line and just rotating my arms for the upcoming spin, it rams me into walls. & this happens constantly. Is there a better way to nail a 1080 or is it just a messed up layout?SolvedHippy Jumps are awesome now! (Ideas and input)
Since the update recently where EA added the longer rolls for the boards hippy jumps became so cool! Now you can hippy jump and wall run and get back on the board downhill, you can jump off the board going uphill towards a wall jump off the wall and get back on the board (boneyardx0 on tiktok if you wanna see) We need 1 adjustment though. Our board doesn’t bounce when hitting a wall/obstacle head-on. You should add a lil bounce to it so we can hippy jump at a wall jump off it and not need to do it on a ramp into a wall just flat ground instead. Would also be cool to hippy jump off manuals, or other flip tricks midair, I also wouldn’t mind getting a QDO that’s a really good swinging bar for some more ideas I have! Love what ya’ll are COOKIN in there at Full Circle and EA. You guys have made a masterpiece and I love this game so much! Also, would it be possible to add a rotation button we could add to paddles on controllers? Would help during trick lines where you wanna rotate the board but don’t want to adjust your momentums direction too. I wouldn’t mind getting handplants for parkour tricks too, handstands, whatever. I see it coming because ya’ll are about it.
