They would be a consistent place for the sims to keep them, rather than randomly placing them and/or keeping them in their inventory - preventing them from getting lost. They would add some much needed class and décor to any musical sim's room/studio. They could be made lockable so that sims can either keep them exclusively as a wall display or as a functioning mode of storage. There could be in-pack guitar sets/collections with unique and specially designed hangers. They could be made in single- or multiple-piece versions.9Views1like0CommentsSuggestion: Add an Online Fashion Show Game Mode (inspired by Roblox/Fortnite)
Hi Sims Team & Community, I’d love to suggest a new online multiplayer game mode for The Sims 4 that I think would bring something fresh, creative, and incredibly fun to the game: a Fashion Show competition mode, inspired by similar features in games like Roblox and Fortnite (or even something more nostalgic like the Webkinz fashion show game). Concept: Players could join an online lobby and compete in live, themed fashion shows. Each round would assign a theme—like Summer Vibes, Prom Night, Back to School, Sportswear, Fairy Tale, etc.—and everyone would have a short amount of time (e.g. 2–5 minutes) to dress up their Sim accordingly using CAS. Once everyone is done, all the styled Sims would walk a virtual runway (maybe auto-generated or shown in a slideshow), and players would vote anonymously on their favorites. Points could be awarded based on votes, and the winner would be revealed at the end of each round. Why It Works: Fun, Fast-Paced Gameplay: Perfect for short, casual sessions. Creative Expression: Gives players new ways to show off their styling skills. Community & Competition: Encourages multiplayer engagement, which The Sims currently lacks outside of Gallery sharing. Replayability: Infinite potential with rotating themes, accessories, and categories. Optional Features: Allow players to unlock exclusive CAS items by winning. Weekly curated fashion themes tied to seasons or events. Option to upload winning Sims to the Gallery for others to download. I think this would add a fresh layer of social and competitive play to The Sims 4, without compromising the core sandbox experience. It’s a perfect blend of fashion, fun, and community creativity. Thanks for considering this idea! I’d love to hear what others think too!9Views1like0CommentsStrangerville: Shadows in the Dust | A Manicpot8to LP
Something's off in strangerville, but no one's saying it out loud. The air buzzes with secrets, the neighbors act strange, and the military presence is just a little too strong for a sleepy desert town. This story follows three threads converging: A secretive base with an agenda no one's willing to explain. Gloria, a newcomer with nothing left to lose and a knack for noticing what others ignore. And Bo, a loner who came to find the truth while hiding a secret of her own. Each character is drawn here for different reasons. Some came seeking answers. Others? Planned only to pass through. But no matter the reason, they all stay... because something won't let them leave. All this unfolds across my custom Strangerville builds, and each update will reveal more of the mystery. Feel free to follow along, and I look forward to reading everyone's thoughts and theories! Next up: Meet the residents. Not all of them are what they seem. Hey! So I was playing and my cat was having kittens. I noticed it seeming to take FOREVER for the box to pop up to name the kittens from when the "In labor" notification happens. The thought occurred to me... We need a nesting bed for cats/dogs/horses that we can click on and directed the animal to have baby. Just like how a sim can "have baby" at a bassinet. They also need the option for the owner to click on them and take them to the vet when they are in labor. Similar to "Have baby at hospital" for the sims. Just a suggestion for the pets!6Views0likes0CommentsBasegame idea simology
can we have better simology in basegame? (and existing packs too) the simology we know now looks all over the place and looks so chaotic like it's disorganized i stole this screenshot on internet but i want something just like that, it looks more organized, we'll find things in no time in basegame if we have simology in a improved version you know i was thinking: the milestones can be in the memories category likes/dislikes in general should be in the preferences categories (unless you have a better name for this) relationship wise (Lovestruck) should have its own category (i can't think up a name though) personality traits should be in the Personalities/CAS traits category bonus trait should have its own category too (the ones you'll get when you finished the aspirations) the ones that comes with "Get Famous" should have its own category too...maybe reputation category? do you guys have any ideas how the simology panel could be handled better? i hope the team takes notes on this after seeing my ideas📌113Views5likes0Commentsstop giving us new content and PLEASE fix your game.
I wanted to make a more in detail post (TLDR at the end for anyone who doesn't want to read my yap session!) on this forum because I feel like it needs to be talked about as more than a frustrated vent, but the sims 4 team needs to slow down on new content and focus on fixing their game. I understand the devs work really hard and no game is 100% bug free but this is genuinely starting to feel excessive and it's making the game really difficult to play. I've been playing the sims 4 since 2018 (which i know isn't the longer but I'm a younger simmer lol) and in all the time I've been playing this game, I don't think I've ever had this many bugs. I'd have maybe one bug for a couple of days but even then it'd be some minor thing that didn't effect my enjoyment of the game. However, recently, I've found myself using EA's gameplay support forum excessively. I'm come here almost every time I open my game because I'm always having some sort of issue with my game. My farmer and rancher sims crops disappear/turn invisible the second fall hits (and NO i don't mean an out of season crop dying, I mean my fully grown, in season fall and winter plants being invisible for the entire duration of the seasons) and while sure I can still use the gameplay mechanic, after a while (and many weeks) it's very visually frustrating to look at a large field of invisible plants that are still very much in season. Mind you visual issues like this have been bugged dating back to 4 years ago (though my specific issue seemingly only dates back to 5 months ago which is still a long time but a lot shorter of a time frame than four years ago) My sims can not getting married at wedding arches because it says that both engaged sims must be around (even if both of them are right in front of the arch), so I'm forced to do the manual engagement through the romance category which defeats the whole purpose of having wedding arches. With this issue also comes not being able to renew wedding vows because said archers are broken, This issue also seemingly dates back to a minimum of 5 months ago. Another issue I, and a lot of other simmers have, is disappearing terrain paint, and this issue has been happening for YEARS. The only way for me to somewhat circumnavigate is to build whatever im building first, save, leave to manage worlds, go back to the lot, do the paint, save again, leave again, and then load back in. That is absurd, again this has been happening for YEARS. Ever since EA introduced ads into the sims 4 (The opening screen ads and the splash ads) many people have found themselves not able to close or dismiss the ads, again another bug that has been around for a hot minute, that makes the game unplayable, that hasn't been fixed. Or what about the eyelid glitch that makes sims not able to close their eyes all the way? Again, I understand no game will be 100% bug free, but so many of the bugs have been around for months, sometimes even years, and they still aren't fixed, and it's truly ridiculous to see. It's incredibly frustrating to see SO many longstanding bugs be put under the tag "under investigation" when it honestly feel like nothing is being investigated. Or, at the very least, communicate with your community more. Even a vague "Hey guys, we hear your issues with the bugs and we're trying to fix them!" is more reassuring than radio silence or a moderator linking us to another forum for 8 months ago with a person having the same issue as you. If your game is so buggy it's putting people off and stopping you from attracting more people to it, maybe it's time to take a break from being a cash hungry corporation. Please, STOP PUTTING OUT NEW CONTENT AND FIX YOUR GAME. or at the very least shift your focus onto to fixing common bugs that make your game nearly unplayable. I love the sims, it is truly one of my favorite games of all time, but it's disappointing and frustrating to see 6 new expansion packs, 3 new game packs, 2 new stuff packs, and 12 new kits come out in one year while me and hundreds of other simmers have been begging you to fix a bug that first showed up in your game 2 years ago. So, EA, sims dev team, PLEASE FIX YOUR GAMES. TLDR: This game has so many bugs its nearly unplayable (or at the very least VERY frustrating to play) but ea keeps putting out new content instead of fixing month(s)/year(s) old issues and it's getting irritating.367Views23likes19CommentsThinking out the Box for Sims 4 EPs
Hey I'm sure there are ideas sent about having an African Diasporic expansion pack. Creative ideas and worlds can be created inspired by the African continent, Caribbean, and beyond. After seeing For Rent pack, I knew the Sims team with the right people on board can create another world similar. Sims 3 already touched a small part with World Adventures pack with the Egypt inspired world. Would be great for another expansion pack ideas to maybe touch upon the Sahara desert or Safari areas for future vacation ideas...Animals can include Llamas to add a Sims twist. Not sure how hard/complicated adding animals can be... West African inspiration for another expansion pack introducing new recipes, possible new music and/or instruments (afrobeats inspired)/new dance. After the "Cozy Celebrations" event last year, it emphasized cultural traditions and this could continue... CAS inspired by the fashion of Different parts of the continent. Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Morocco, etc... East Africa is also another possible world to explore and draw inspiration from with the Asian and Islamic influences there that might mesh with what we have in the game already? Thinking out loud. One more idea is of course Afro-Latino/Caribbean inspired. I know Sulani is considered the island destination but wouldn't hurt to have one more highlighting Taino culture and diverse cultures of the Caribbean. Would prefer not a vacation world but who knows how it cam be incorporated... Still thinking out loud and forgive the multiple ideas going everywhere but The Sims 4 has so much potential especially as I see there's a bit more inclusiveness being shown with recent packs. Hopefully someone can see this and be inspired to start writing a story/characters and incorporate into the Sims lore a bit. Ok thinking rant done.9Views1like0Comments
