The Witch's Tale
Rebecca Keller (New Arrival on the Way) When Rebecca figured out she was pregnant, a sudden rush of misery washed over her. It wasn't the thought having a child that bothered her, but the fact she was going to have to inform the father and her family. She didn't know exactly what the father would think, other than it would be mighty inconvenient considering his occupation and lifestyle. As far as her family was concerned, it would just be another reason to retread their previous disapproval with a new subject. Rebecca called the father with the news, and the call went a lot like she had expected. He struggled with the idea and had a hard time finding words, but Rebecca didn't fault him for that because she had just dropped a bomb on him. He assured her that he was a stand-up kind of guy, and she knew he was ... She just didn't think that was the appropriate way to handle their somewhat brief relationship. After about an hour-long conversation that consisted more of excruciatingly long pauses, interrupted by bursts of ideas and healthy dose of moral aptitude ... They both started to understand that the issue was something that couldn't be fixed right then or over the phone. Hasty decisions were what got them in this mess and were most likely not the solution out of it. Rebecca assured him that things would be okay with the child and that she was more than prepared to handle whatever was necessary. She promised him she would keep in touch and let him know what was happening ... But that he would have to settle for some photos or a video until they had a better chance to figure things out. The phone call with her parents didn't go much better, but to be honest she felt a lot easier during it than the previous one. Her parents, and her sister Marcy were going to think whatever they wanted to think and say whatever they felt the need to say, but none of it was their decision and she was only telling them as a courtesy. Following all the fairly uncomfortable events of the evening, Rebecca went to the one thing that always helped her find her way. She went downstairs, adjusted the settings on the weight machine, and started pumping iron. The cadence of the reps, her breathing ... They pushed back the anxiety as perspiration melted her frustrations. Rebecca started thinking about the child and what she wanted for it, as well as how she was preparing herself to 'Part the Red Sea' if necessary for the little one on the way. Everyone else could be whatever they felt the need to be ... But she was going to the rock that child's life would be built on ... No regrets and no turning back. Happy Simming ... 💖99Views3likes9CommentsThe People of Simbria: Sunset Valley
Well, hi there. This is a story (of sorts) that has been going on for a while, so it won't be starting with the first chapter, but it doesn't matter to much, because it didn't start with the beginning even when I first started sharing it on the old forum. 😛 'Original' thread is found here, but I wouldn't recommend checking it out, because it lost all the images in the forum transfer... The Concept In general, the story takes place in several towns spread across a country called "The United Kingdom of Simbria", and now that the concept is a little more clear than when I first started out on the old forum, I will not lump everything together in one thread, but instead create one thread per. town. So, this thread will focus on the inhabitants of Sunset Valley - the small town that everybody knows, and which in my world is located on the southwestern tip of this country. Sunset Valley Theme (Youtube) Prologue: The Original Families. Moving into town. The story of Sunset Valley began in 1977 sim time, when a young couple, Asgeir and Lucie Karlsen moved into town. They had moved all the way south from their hometown of Pamtere far, far to the north, hoping to settle in the city of Wad Nahadau, b ut the housing market in the city had proved to be much to expensive for them.... Asgeir aspired to be a world famous painter and writer and Lucie wanted to reach the top of the medical career. Since they used almost all of their money buying their first home at Water Lily Road 58 and as Asgeir's career as a painter and writer was a long way from taking off, they both started a job at the bottom ranks of the medical career. Camera technology was still very expensive and unaccessible to the general public back then. Only licensed photographers and the wealthiest of families usually owned one. Everyone else would either have to rent or borrow a camera, or go to the photograper to have their picture taken. Hence to tell this story, actors with pretty much identical looks and personalities were hired to reenact them moving into town.... Reconstructed photos of Asgeir and Lucie entering their new home for the first time. This is only what it might have looked like. Asgeir often woke up feeling grumpy and irritable in the mornings, but this worked well enough for a while, largely due to Lucies kind and friendly nature. Another couple, Ingmar and Eirin Motorsen, had moved to town just a month after Asgeir and Lucie. Ingmar wanted to move to town as he had read about the chess triumphs of H.K.H. Høigaffel and had early on felt compelled to become a world famous chess player as well. Ingmar was quite the slouch, but they needed food on the table, so he got himself a job in the medical career. His wife Eirin was a lucky and charismatic person, but often found herself struggling with forgetfulness and sometimes lapsing into periods of insanity randomly running off talking to herself. In spite of this, she got a job in the police force, where she is to this day doing quite well as a forensics specialist. A reconstruction of Eirin and Ingmar engaging in flirtatious conversation in front of their new home. It's not that it's a trailer... it's just very long and narrow. ;) Not quite one month after the Motorsen couple had moved to town, the young couple Egil and Frida Kråkesen moved in right next door to the Karlsens. Egil, a highly ambitious individual, quickly got himself a job in the business career, whereas Frida got a job in the medical career. Houses were much cheaper out here, compared to the capital city of Wad Nahadau, even in the suburbs. And who knows, they might just like it enough to make it their permanent residence. Reconstructed photo of Egil Kråkesen admiring his looks in his new home at Water Lily Road 72. Reconstructed photo of Frida Kråkesen reading the local newspaper in her new home.424Views1like14CommentsAlphabet SuperLegacy Challenge Rules
Updated for Adventure Awaits. This is a legacy challenge where each generation represents a different letter, and must explore all of the game play starting with that letter: aspirations, collections, woohoo spots, reward store traits, you name it. I already have a thread for this challenge that has been updated through Crystal Creations. Since it was transferred from the old forum, it was very hard to update further. Ignore any objective related to a pack you don’t own. You can choose to skip a generation if your pack limitations leave it extremely short on content. I've removed two of the letters (Q, Y) from the challenge because they don't have much to do, even with all the packs. No cheat codes that help you move through your objectives faster. No rules about aging. No rules governing non-heirs. Just because one generation has something as an objective, doesn’t mean that other generations can’t do it for fun/convenience. If you don’t have at least three traits in the assigned letter, you have to randomize the rest. No self-discovery traits starting with a different letter. Each heir's name, and that of any pets they have, must begin with their letter. Likes and Dislikes: The heir can only have the likes/dislikes assigned to their generation. Color preferences are assigned when they age up to Child. From that point forward, all the heir's outfits will reflect their color preferences. If you decorate a space for them, you must consider their color preferences. Fashion and interior design preferences are assigned when they age up to teen (if you have those packs). From that point forward, all their outfits and decorated spaces will reflect their style preferences. Lot Traits and Challenges: The heir must have all of their assigned lot challenges equipped in all of their designated residences. If the heir has three assigned lot traits or less, they also must be assigned. If the heir has four or more lot traits, they have to change up which three are in play. The heir's transitional aspirations (the ones that decide the bonus traits) have to be aspirations from their generation, unless they don't have two aspirations. At the start of the challenge, the Gen 1 "founder" will be a toddler, so you will need to give them at least one parent. Core Concept: Guide a family through generations, ensuring each generation's parents complete Distinguished university degrees while continuously maintaining their family's fame. A key aspect of the challenge is maintaining strong family relationships, particularly between the parents and their chosen heir. The challenge allows players to continue for as long as they desire, with a specific "ending section." Note for Content Creators: For this challenge the # is #TheFFADChallange. (if you have better ideas I am all ears) Packs Highly Recommended: Get Famous: Absolutely essential for the fame mechanic. Discover University: Crucial for the university mechanic, especially for Distinguished Degrees. General Challenge Rules: Starting Out (Generation 1 Specific): Start with two Young Adult Sims who are your designated "parents" for Generation 1. They must be living together in the active household. They can begin in any world. You can use cheats to purchase and furnish your first house/lot. Once the house is purchased and furnished, your household funds must be set to exactly §20,000. Use money cheats to achieve this. All subsequent moves or property purchases in this generation and future generations must be paid for with earned in-game money. Generation 1 Skill and University Cheats: For your Generation 1 parents only, you may use University cheats to give your starting parents a distinguished degree for their job they will go into. If you chose to have them go to university, you can use skill cheats to give them the skills for a distinguished degree. Fame Maintenance - Crucial for Survival: Parental Fame: The current parents of the current generation (meaning the Sims designated as the next heir's parents) must maintain their fame. If one parent loses all fame (drops to 0 fame stars), that parent must be immediately moved out of the household or killed off. They are no longer part of the challenge. The remaining parent must then complete all parental requirements (university, fame maintenance) as a single parent. If both parents lose all fame (both drop to 0 fame stars), the challenge ends in failure. Children's Fame: Children (from children to Teenagers) can lose all fame and regain it. There is no penalty for them losing fame at these life stages. Generational Fame Checkpoint: When a new heir becomes a Young Adult (triggering the start of a new generation), the active household must collectively have at least 3 fame stars. If they do not, the challenge ends in failure. Generational Progression (The Core Cycle): Heir Apparent: Each generation must have a designated "heir." This Sim will carry on the legacy. Mandatory Births: All children in the active household must be born as babies. No adopting or adding Sims from outside the family tree, unless specifically from/for a spouse. Strict Aging: You must wait for the birthday notification for each Sim to age them up at every life stage. No manual aging up prematurely. University Requirement: For all subsequent generations, the current heir (meaning the previous kid who is now leading the family) MUST attend and successfully graduate from a Distinguished Degree program from either university. This must be completed before the next heir becomes a Young Adult. If the heir's parents become a single-parent household (due to fame loss, death, etc.), the remaining parent needs to attend and graduate from a Distinguished Degree program (if time allows it.) Post-University Career Requirement: After completing their Distinguished Degree, the parent must immediately join a career that is specifically aligned with their chosen degree. They must aim to progress in this career. Guidance for Career Alignment: Refer to in-game descriptions or reliable Sims 4 guides that list recommended careers for each university degree. For example, a Distinguished Biology degree might lead to a Doctor or Conservationist career, while a Distinguished Fine Art degree might lead to a Painter or entertainer career. Players should choose one of the recommended or obvious choices. Generational Transition Housing: When the new heir becomes a Young Adult (signaling the start of their generation), the player must choose one of the following: Option 1: Heir Moves Out: The heir (and their chosen spouse, if applicable) moves out of the current family home and establishes a new residence. The previous generation's parents and any unchosen siblings remain in the original home, and the player switches to controlling the heir's new household. Option 2: Old Generation Moves Out: The previous generation's parents (and any kids who chose to go with them) move out of the family home, leaving the heir and their chosen spouse (if applicable) to take over the existing residence. The player remains on the same lot. Parent-Heir Relationship: When the heir becomes a Young Adult, their relationship with both of their parents (biological or adoptive) must be at least "Good Friends" (a green bar that is over halfway full) on the friendship track. If a parent is no longer in the household (due to fame loss or death), this rule still applies if they existed long enough for a relationship to form. Loss Conditions (Game Over!): The current parents of the current generation both lose all fame (drop to 0 fame stars). At the start of a new generation (when the heir becomes a Young Adult), the active household has less than 3 fame stars collectively. The parent(s) of the next heir fail to graduate from a Distinguished Degree program before the heir becomes a Young Adult. A parent fails to join a degree-aligned career after graduation. When the heir becomes a Young Adult, their relationship with either of their parents is not at least "Good Friends". General Rules: Aging: You can play with normal or long lifespan. Normal is recommended for a balanced challenge. Money Cheats: Only allowed for setting the initial §20,000 for Generation 1 after the first house purchase, and for Generation 1 skill/university cheats as specified. No other money cheats are permitted. Mods/CC: Player's discretion, but avoid mods that could "break" the challenge. using mods to get around a bug or help your sim when they don't want to take care of themselves is okay. If they are heading to work/school and their needs are low. you can't help them with mods. The "Ending Section" This provides a definitive conclusion for players who wish to complete their challenge rather than playing indefinitely. Trigger: A player decides they want to end the challenge with the current generation. This can be done at any point after the current heir has become a Young Adult. Ending Section Requirements (All must be met by the current active household heir AND their spouse/partner, if applicable): Maximum Fame Attained: The heir (and their spouse, if they have one and are part of the active household) must both achieve 5-star Celebrity status. Top of Their Field: The heir (and their spouse, if applicable) must both reach Level 10 in a career related to their university degree (or a career that makes sense for their life path if they weren't the "parent" who went to university). Philanthropic Legacy: The active household must donate at least §100,000 to charity via the computer interaction (this can be cumulative over time within this final generation). Grand Residence: The active household must own a residence valued at least §500,000 (including lot and build mode items). Master of Many Trades: The heir (and their spouse, if applicable) must each max out at least 5 skills. Monument to Fame: Build a "Hall of Fame" or "Legacy Museum" on their home lot. This could be a dedicated room or building showcasing memorabilia, awards, portraits of previous generations, and any other items that tell the story of their family's fame and achievements.190Views3likes0CommentsThe Parsons Legacy (Generation 30)

I started the world legacy in 2019 because I had hard times to play legacy challenges without abandoning them after 3 or 4 generations. So I decided to bend the rules and mix them with rags to riches: What if each generation has to start over, from scratch in another world and use skills and systems implemented in the pack, in which the world comes from, to succeed in their lives? I'm now at my 18th Generation and it's still going. I have no real rules but I set goals for each generation so I could balance storyline and goal-oriented challenge. Current Family Tree: Generation 1 to 18 goals and backstories: Legacy Heirs: Update: gen 20 storyline template is added😊860Views5likes15CommentsPerfect Genetics Challenge
My new video series - Perfect Genetics Challenge - is now available for viewing on YouTube. https://youtu.be/iQUhw5SbutM This video is a little over 16 minutes. It is an introduction to my founder, Olivia. We first meet her in Create a Household. We see her first home and job. She meets her man and they start getting to know each other. This challenge ought to be colourful. Not only does Olivia have blue, purple, pink and yellow hair but she has a very pale blue skin and pinkish purple eyes. The challenge requires her to produce an heir, male or female, who has the exact same hair and eye colour. Once the heir is confirmed, the mother will concentrate on living her life until the heir is old enough to take on the challenge. There is no upper limit to the number of babies she might have to produce before the heir arrives. Consequently I've set the age spans to be reasonably long but will use cake to age the family up as required. I plan to stop the mother from having more babies once it is confirmed the heir has been born. The heir will age up from toddler to child when they have done all of their toddler skills. And from Child to Teen after completing all of the child skills and getting onto the honour roll at school. The teen will age up to young adult after they have been to a prom and have learned fishing and cooking skills and read all of the fishing and recipe books. This means they'll need to get to level 7 in fishing and level 10 in cooking before I will let them age up to Young Adult. They may learn other skills along the way and need to be at least A Grade students. If they haven't learned the required skills and done the required reading within 105 days they'll age up automatically. When the heir is about the age up to Young Adult, hopefully the day before the teen is ready to age up to young adult, I'll age the parents up to Adult. The Adult life stage is also quite long just in case the mother automatically ages up to adult before she has produced the heir. The Elder life stage is also long. Babies will need grandparents around for a while. I may reduce the length of the Elder life stage at some point if the elders are accumulating. Moonlit Falls is full of supernaturals and I won't worry about when that population ages up. I'll be using EA Story Progression so if the town population ages up very slowly maybe there will still be sims around town by the time my founder's descendants start moving into the general townie population. All babies born to the founder and her heirs will have randomised traits with the one exception that each heir must have the dislikes children trait. There are no restrictions on how the main household earns their income. They can go out collecting, or gardening or whatever they choose. I will be getting them the no bills ever lifetime reward asap because I have a bad habit of forgetting about the bills and have difficulty working out what the repo man has taken. Due to the lack of restrictions on how they earn/come by their money the game will have many and varied activities in it throughout this challenge. One of the first wishes my founder got is to travel to Egypt to buy a recipe book. I do plan to grant that wish soon. Perhaps she can go there on her honeymoon. She has already met her man. I made him specially for her. She's blue with purple and blue hair, he's green with green hair and eyes. But their skin colouring is subtle. I think that about covers it. I hope you decide to watch. I'm keeping the length of these episodes to around 10 to 15 minutes each. Please consider subscribing if you are going to watch the videos as that way you'll know whenever a new episode is posted.3.6KViews4likes156CommentsOfficially "Wacky" Boolprop Challenge
Hi and welcome to my new challenge! This is a direct continuation of my previous challenge story: 15th Boolprop Birthday Challenge. Gen 8 heir, Lily, is the founder of this challenge (rules here) She is Adventurous and Active, and still a teen at this point. The challenge starts when she has graduated early from high school. There are some main points of this challenge that should be pointed out. You are not allowed to move from the lot you choose. 3 flamingos must be placed on the lot for every sim in the household. No repairs are allowed to be made except between 12-1pm each day. Each generation must have three pregnancies. These are the bonuses I'm aiming for at the moment:75Views0likes1CommentAdam Servis Ultimate Legacy Challenge
I started this one for a different change of pace and, of course, took pictures, and now it's turned into a story. I'm unsure if I can keep up with four stories, but I will try. Introduction: The Ultimate Legacy Challenge is from Mod the Sims, and the rules can be found here. It is based on the original Legacy Challenge - rules here. I started with an empty lot and zero Simoleons. To build on the lot, my Sim must "pay" City Hall §1,000 for the property. Generation One has a grand value limit of §1,000 per item sold, meaning my Sim cannot sell any individual item of value greater than §1,000 until later generations. I already had the Taxi Charge mod and the No Fridge Shopping mod, and added the other mods suggested in the Ultimate Legacy Challenge rules to make things more difficult. And on with the story...336Views2likes19CommentsPrecious Joy Forsythe Legacy Challenge
I started a new legacy - the Precious Joy Forsythe Legacy Family Challenge. Precious Joy Forsythe is the firstborn of the 10th generation from the Precious Forsythe Legacy Family Challenge. Edited to Add: Cortney Schultz, Precious Joy's spouse, was originally Silver RenameMe, created by CravenLestat (AKA 9722cce410c84e2a ) - I changed his hair, some of his traits, and his clothing for my gameplay.633Views3likes84Comments
