Couldn't Complete Download error in Marketplace
So, with the new update, I have experienced nothing but BUGGGGS, the worst of them being the fact that I purchased the new sims moo cash or whatever. Not in love with the addition of microtransaction but its fine, the problem is, I got a total of 4 different maker packs and was excited to use them only for them not to download. Okay, so I restart my game, not too weird yet. But then, once I go back to the game and start trying to download again- failed. I tried over and over and I guess, even though I spent my money, I cannot download these maker packs on the Xbox series X? It is really frustrating on top of the month long Sims 4 glitch that Ive been having where all my packs over the years are considered new and I have to click through ALL of them before playing. Please, if you have any ideas how to fix, I'm all ears.
The Sims 4 fails to launch when Custom Content is installed
Hello, I’m experiencing an issue with The Sims 4 where the game will not launch if Custom Content (CC) is present in the Mods folder. Here is a detailed description of the problem: When I launch the game through the EA App with CC installed, the app minimizes as if the game is about to start After a few seconds, it returns to the EA App without launching the game No error message or code appears However: When I completely remove all CC from the Mods folder, the game launches and runs normally without any issues Troubleshooting steps I have already tried: Repaired the game through the EA App Removed all Mods and CC and confirmed the game works without them Cleared cache files for both EA App and The Sims 4, including: localthumbcache.package cache folder cachestr folder onlinethumbnailcache folder Reinstalled The Sims 4 completely Reinstalled the EA App Launched both EA App and the game as Administrator Restarted my computer multiple times during the process Verified that Mods/CC are enabled in game settings (when the game does launch without them) Additional notes: The CC I am trying to use previously worked without any issues The issue started recently, and I did not intentionally change any settings The problem occurs consistently every time CC is added back into the Mods folder At this point, it seems that any presence of CC prevents the game from launching at all. Placing lots from the gallery freezes game/endless loading
Computer: PC, Windows 10 I am having issues with the game after the February 25th update where trying to use the gallery effectively doesn't work. I am connected to the internet and initially it'll work fine but when trying to use it repeatedly, such as trying out multiple uploaded lots, the gallery will become stuck on the loading screen and won't load anymore lots, and will tell me that it is having issues. I have tried updating my drivers, removing the tray file, removing all mods, and repairing the game but it still keeps happening. These attempts initially worked for a bit but eventually the gallery would freeze again. Any help would be appreciated. I also recently upgraded my computer so it is possible that it's related to that but as far as I can tell my GPU, CPU and ram is all working as intended. Again, I made sure drivers were updated as I heard that that could cause some issues. Unable to play with script mods
I have been having this issue for over SIX MONTHs. It started on my old computer, because I had no RAM on it, then I got a new computer (Alienware aurora or smth like idfk) and I was able to play with script mods for a little bit then one day it started doing it again. What happens is that it will load normally, then gets stuck on the manage worlds screen. It even happens if I have don't have any script mods downloaded, just having them enabled is what causes the issue, but I have no idea how to fix it, I've tried everything. I completely wiped my computer of any sims or mods files, redownloaded the sims 4, and the issue is still ongoing. I have spent so much money on this **bleep** game over the course of almost three years and I'm not just going to stop.
menu doesn't show up when clicking fridge, oven or computer
i play on pc and i've been having this issue for a while, i use mods but i tested it without mods and the issue still occurs even with no mods. when i click on a fridge, computer or oven no menu will show up, so no interactions at all, but sims still cook autonomously or when i give them the command through the needs panel. i tested also in an old save file, with and without mods enabled and the and also tried creating new saves and the issue still remains. it's not mod related but it's in the game. i also tried repairing the game and deleting the local thumb cache but it didn't fix the issue. if i click the fridge the in game time continues but the sim is frozen and can't do anything. i tried waiting for more than 10 minutes but the menu never pops up.Loading screen stuck after CAS – MacBook Air M4
I am experiencing a bug where the game gets permanently stuck on the loading screen every time I try to play a household after creating it in CAS. Platform: MacBook Air M4 (2025), macOS (latest) Game version: Latest (downloaded via EA App) Mods/CC: None Expansion packs: Seasons and city living Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch The Sims 4 via the EA App 2. Start a new game or load an existing save 3. Create a new household in CAS 4. Click the checkmark to finish and place the household in a world 5. The loading screen appears and never progresses — the game is permanently stuck
Glitched screen can't load past main menu
Since the 'CC fix' update that came after the release of Marketplace, my game refuses to load past the Main Menu. The loading screen to get to the Menu is much longer than it was pre-Marketplace. And referring to it as "loading" the MM is strong verbiage. The screen is glitched as though someone took a baseball bat to my monitor. I'm unable to interact with the game at all once I've run the program & the glitched MM appears, and the only way to close the program is to shut my entire PC off. I tried this with and without my mods & CC folder installed, no dice. I tried un-and-reinstalling... even less dice. I've paid a lotttttt of money over the years for The Sims 4, even pre-ordered the base game way back when, so I'm sincerely hoping this can be resolved/rectified. [CM edit - descriptive title]
