[MAC] Endless loading after using Manage Household (Fullscreen Mode)
Device: Macbook Air, Apple M4 | 24 GB of Memory. Old Saves: Had mods, yes... this started with those saves. I tested mods, removed them, tried to create sims and play... got stuck. I created one household with 7 sims successfully in that one (with the mods active)! I created a new household after, where I could not get the singular sim to even move in without it getting stuck on load. Mods: Have been sorted with 50/50 method, cleaned, removed entirely (although, not the source of the issue). There are NO script mods, only CC. I have taken out that mod folder and allowed the game to produce new, empty ones with no better luck. Reset Game: Yes. This was done twice (currently on my second attempt) and mods have NOT been added back into the game. I have also uninstalled + reinstalled the game once... and repaired the game VARIOUS times. Also attempted to use dx9, didn't help either. Memory Leak: No. Nothing on activity monitor, no warning popups. There is also ample space in my system storage. The Repeat Issue: When going into manage world, I can edit, move, and create households as normal, even upload them to gallery. But, when trying to go into or return to live mode, the game gets stuck on an infinite loading screen. I reset the game, tested a fresh save, got into live mode with one sim. Could successfully add a few more sims in manage world. Game proceeded to get stuck on loading loop when trying to play with household. Force quit, get single sim in the first household moved into a lot. Go into manage world, create a new household. 50/50 chance I would either get stuck after making the first sim OR have a repeat of no. 1 occur. This issue also happened when trying to add more sims to the first household, so no it was not exclusive to one lot or save. TLDR: .... I can't use the manage worlds at all. My whole point of using sims is to have a few households of characters. I keep getting stuck in the loading screen when trying to play from the MW menu after I make a new sim (or household, after the first one has been made). This is not because of any mods, issues with the laptop, or because I have not reset/repaired the game. I would really appreciate help with fixing the game to be any sort of playable. I had even tested my old saves in the first reset and it didn't change anything.
[GALLERY] 'Timed Out'/Server error when saving lots (After Patch 1.124.63)
What is happening: Following update 1.124.63.1020 that said this issue was fixed, I went through some of my lots to back them up to my library. I could upload about 50% of them. Some still give the "timed out" error. Edit By crinrict: Adjusted Title
Corrupted House? Cannot load other lots or move households.
In only one save file, I am encountering a strange problem. I am able to load my one played household in their home, but if I try to travel with them, or go to any other lots, the lots all over various worlds are empty. They appear correctly in the map screen, but when they load up there is nothing there. One lot in San Myshuno also seemed to have its height set strangely, so that there is a giant hole in the world where part of the lot should be. I am on generation 4 of a legacy, I really don't want to lose the family or their house. Being able to move out with my furniture would be an acceptable fallback, but that is giving an error also (see below) Other save files seem unaffected. I have tried: Removing all mods. Still happens. Repairing my game. Still happens. Recovering old versions of my saves using the in-game recovery and also using external backups. Still happens, going back several days. Resetting my game by renaming my "Sims 4" folder. Still happens Moving my sims out of their lot with their furniture: I get error 801, and after that point lots take infinitely long to attempt to load. Or sometimes crashes to desktop. Moving my sims to another save file using the library: The sims move over just fine, but when I try to place their lot from my library, it says "System Error" in red near the UI popover. It then gets stuck in an infinite loop of trying to place the house, and getting another system error. Insane simulation lag whenever a save file gets big.
Sooo, throughout all 2026 (so practically for 5 months straight) I've tried to make a forever save file. But the problem here is that when i play the household i'm trying to play, it's almost impossible. The simulation lag is actually insane and i hope it gets fixed soon (hopefully 😭😭😭)
Stuck on loading screen since update, save corruption
Since the update, game gets stuck on the loading screen basically 1 out 3 times. Almost never had this issue before. Never used mods or CC. Playing on PC. Also, my legacy save file got corrupted after the update and kept crashing upon launch with the error "Failed to launch the game - an error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later", which never happened in 5 years. I started a new save file, which now keeps getting stuck on loading screens, as above.
Placing lots from the gallery freezes game/endless loading
Computer: PC, Windows 10 I am having issues with the game after the February 25th update where trying to use the gallery effectively doesn't work. I am connected to the internet and initially it'll work fine but when trying to use it repeatedly, such as trying out multiple uploaded lots, the gallery will become stuck on the loading screen and won't load anymore lots, and will tell me that it is having issues. I have tried updating my drivers, removing the tray file, removing all mods, and repairing the game but it still keeps happening. These attempts initially worked for a bit but eventually the gallery would freeze again. Any help would be appreciated. I also recently upgraded my computer so it is possible that it's related to that but as far as I can tell my GPU, CPU and ram is all working as intended. Again, I made sure drivers were updated as I heard that that could cause some issues.
