Endless loading when trying to load household
Hi, I have had this problem for a couple of days now. The app opens to the main menu as usual, but when I click to play, it just stays on the loading screen and won't go anywhere from there. I have removed all of my mods and it still does the same. Is it a bug or can I do something to actually get to play the game. Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title to better reflect the issue
Cannot Play One Specific Family
Ever since the updates that came with the new Business & Hobbies pack, I've found that I can't play with this one family in my save file. I've been playing a legacy challenge, and I'm currently on generation 4 or 5, depending on how you count it. However, I cannot access any of the households connected to it. For example, if I was playing as sim A before the update, the household wouldn't load afterward, and if I tried to play as sim A's sister or brother, who are in different households, they also wouldn't load. However, all the other households that aren't related to this family load and play just fine. I've done what EA suggests, along with what many other simmers recommend, like deleting mods, clearing the cache, and restoring a previous save, yet this problem persists. At one point, I saw someone with a similar issue suggested to pull the sim you've been playing into another household, but I can't even do that! I've been trying to play as another household that sim A is friends with, and I have these friends invite my sim over. My sim gets invited successfully and shows up, but I'm unable to click on them, and my sim is experiencing a strange glitch of t-posing and un-t-posing repeatedly. I'm at my wit's end with this issue, and I'm looking for all the help I can get to try and resolve this before declaring the matter finished and that family lost.
No internet?
My EA app won't let me update my Sims 4. I have tried contacting costumer support twice, but they couldn't help me. It is stuck on 2% and then says I don't have any internet connection, even though everything else works on the app with internet (i.e. I could buy new packs). I've had no issues with loading my Sims 4 game all year-until last night. Out of 3 times I attempted to load the game yesterday, only once was I able to get past the main menu into a world. But when I tried to load into a lot, the game got stuck on the loading screen. Today, I can't even get past selecting my save file. It sticks on the loading screen immediately after that. I'm getting really frustrated because I was in the middle of recording a Let's Play and this is holding everything up. Here's what I've already tried: went through mods folder (nothing outdated or corrupt as I triple-checked everything), deleted my local thumb cache file, and deleted all last exception field before launching. I'm trying to avoid moving the game out of the documents/electronic arts folder to force a new user file, because I had to do this once before and it caused me to lose a lot of progress/files or have things become corrupted. If anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it. I'm open to troubleshooting anything else that won't risk save file loss or starting from scratch. Thanks in advance!
Can't download apartment from gallery
I tried to download two separate apts in the gallery , my sim owns the residential rental and it is set to proper lot type but after trying to download from two separate users in the gallery it never loads. It crashed the first time and the second one was just loading endlessly. New issue for me , haven't been having issues with "For rent"
