Alryne Valley Homes
I am creating homes for Alryne Valley. Most of these homes are base-game and expansion packs only. Some contain store content which will be noted as such. Alryne Valley was created for a couple of challenges requiring empty worlds. I started it in December of 2022, two years ago. The current version is Alryne Valley Ultimate. I have 18 Sim households ready to be added to the world. Before I do this in Create A World, I want homes on at least half of the residential lots. ~texansky-

Welcome to BNS 187: A Chalet Retreat The scents of spruce and peppermint accompany the couple who step into your office. Flakes of melting snow from the first real snow of the year dust their clothes and hair. “Mr. and Mrs. Yukimura, welcome,” you greet them. “I hope the drive wasn’t too bad?” “Not at all. We’re used to driving in the snow,” Rin Yukimura answers. He has an air of dignity and cool reserve about him. “That’s good. Now, what can I help you with?” “We’ve just won the lottery,” Fuyuko Yukimura answers before her husband can. “We want to build our vacation home on it. A chalet-style house. It’s been our dream for years, and we can finally make it come true with your help.” She seems more relaxed and friendlier than her husband. But maybe he’s just shy around strangers or doing his best to appear businesslike? You don’t want to be too quick to judge. “I’m glad to help. How large of a chalet are you thinking?” “Nothing big or fancy. Three bedrooms with ensuite baths and a half-bath for guests will be plenty,” Mr. Yukimura replies. “One of the bedrooms should have an attached living area as well - we’re considering renting it out to earn some extra income.” “The upstairs bedrooms should also have balconies,” Mrs. Yukimura adds. “On the first floor, we want an open floor plan so the view can be enjoyed from anywhere in the house. We need a kitchen, dining room, living room, and a half-bath for guests.” “We will be spending a lot of time outdoors, hiking or biking in the summer and skiing and snowboarding in the winter, so we don’t need a very large lot. A patio for outdoor entertaining in the summer would be nice though,” Mr. Yukimura says. “Naturally, we’ll need storage space for our gear and bicycles.” “With a telescope. I love observing the sky at night,” Mrs. Yukimura adds. “Oh! We would love a fire pit or outdoor fireplace to heat the patio so it can be used in cooler weather too. And there should be one or two fireplaces inside as well.” “That all sounds doable. Do you have a preference for where this chalet should be located?” you ask. “In the mountains would be great, but we understand if that’s not possible. In which case we’ll take anywhere we can enjoy the change of seasons and the outdoors,” Mrs. Yukimura answers. You make a note of their preferences. “All right, and what is your budget?” Mr. Yukimura answers this time. *$150,000. Will that be enough?” “Yes. We’ll get right on this with winter coming, and should have your chalet ready by the end of the month.” The Brief: Budget: 150000 Lot size: Any size that will fit the Yukimuras’ requirements while still leaving room for landscaping. While building the chalet in a mountainous area would be nice, it is not required. The chalet should have three bedrooms and three and a half baths. One of the bedrooms should have an attached living room as well as the bath so it can be rented out as a separate unit. Note: This part of the challenge was written to allow anyone who has the For Rent pack to use the residential rental lot trait, but it can as easily be for a base game roommate. The main living area should have an open floor plan with lots of windows. Upstairs bedrooms need balconies. The covered patio should have room to entertain and an outdoor fireplace. The house should have at least two fireplaces inside. Include a storage space for the Yukimuras’ gear - bicycles, skis, sleds. Remember to landscape. The Sim Challenge: Create Rin and Fuyuko Yukimura. You can pick all of their traits, likes, dislikes etc.. Show them enjoying their new home. Show all of their outfits. There will be a new shell to furnish and tour before March 3, 2024. I'll write it tomorrow or the next day! :) On Twitch, I hold a building tour of builds you’ve created for my challenge. I play The Sims 4 on the last Monday of every month (for now due to a shoulder and arm injury) and occasionally Stardew Valley. April room challenge: Construct a room for a circus tent house in which a prankster/jokester lives alone, he but loves to play tricks on his friends. Hashtag: #fireflyaprilfools Brief: Prankster/Jokester, Droll Trouble, has the Chief of Mischief aspiration, and will work on the Jokestar aspiration next. He’s a goofball, erratic, insider. His many friends are in his Jokes and Mischief club, which is held in his circus tent home! April 1 (April Fools day is their favorite holiday! Time to let loose with any jokes and pranks in this build! All packs and kits allowed --- last month was a very rare exception pack and kit wise. I will always tell you if there’s going to be an exception about packs or kits. Any décor style Info: From a house shell (please use the hashtag for that month which someone will make each month, please choose a room to create from that house shell. Feel free to add landscape and put activities in the yard of the house shell. For the house shell --- any size lot is fine. I was thinking of using a larger lot like a 50X50 lot. Make sure to give yourself credit for creating the house shell with a hashtag. The main areas of the house and outside landscaping/anything outside that isn’t a room could be a collab and will also be in the stream. This month, @JojoMOMSTER volunteered again to create the shell, but anyone in this challenge may add to the main areas. Then, everyone, please upload your rooms to the gallery with the hashtag: #fireflyaprilfools Room types: Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, dining room, study, kids room, outdoor room --- or other type of room --- as long as we get each of the rooms above in the build. Of course, we may not always need a kids’ room. Also, I'll let you know how many of each room we need for the challenge. Please tell me which room you want to do as soon as possible.
