Build-n-Share #185 **Let's Play!** Due 31st October, 2024
[b]Welcome to BNS 185: Let's Play[/b] (Note: This is the long-delayed follow-up to BNS 180: Let it Snow, which introduced the elves and their quest to learn to build better doll houses and superhero lairs). You stretch out on your couch after a long weekend in the North Pole. You have really enjoyed your time teaching the elves about different types of architectural designs, but it has been a bit exhausting as well. You just wrapped up the teaching part of the job, and you’re pleased with the progress the elves have made. You have given them their "exam" requirements to build either a dollhouse or action figure/super hero lair using the techniques you have taught them. Now you have a whole month to relax before you have to go back to help "judge" their projects and offer final suggestions to the elves. The Brief: -the budget is $250,000 (this includes the lot cost). -the doll house or lair must have an "open" side, just like a real toy. -keep in mind that a "child" must be able to reach in and play in every room or space you create. -it should be at least two stories high with a staircase or ladder as well as a bathroom. -it should have at least 6 different rooms/spaces to play in. -don't forget to landscape. The Sim Challenge: -create a family or group of superheroes/action figures with at least 4 sims. -you can pick all traits, likes, dislikes, and other details. -show them enjoying the house or lair. The Room Challenge: -create a bathroom. -budget is $10,000. Remember to include the hashtag #bns185 with your build or it will not be judged! Maxis Favorite Nominations – LOTS
SUL SUL SIMMERS! As we all know, there are countless amazing Lots that are being uploaded to the Gallery every single day. But because it is not possible for us to check out every single one of those Lots, it can be easy to miss some truly amazing creations out there. That is where you can get involved as we need your support! Did you spot an awesome Lot creation on the Gallery? Then let us know by posting on this thread to nominate other player’s Lot creations for a Maxis Favourite which will be visible to all players on the Gallery! Help us to find the best builds out there! THREAD RULES: For your post, please include the full name of the Lot and the EA ID of the original creator. If you are able to add thelink to the Web Gallery, please do so! That saves us some valuable time that we can then spend testing more items. If you need to edit your original post, please indicate very clearly what changes you made. This will help us to keep better track of old vs. new nominations. While we truly enjoy exploring Lots from our established builders, it is always great to take a look at some hidden gems as well. We love to make someone's day special by giving a Maxis Fav to Simmers who have not received any yet. This thread is for nominations only! Take a look at the past challenges and if you are bored, you can always use them as an inspiration, and/or to find some buildings you would like to download to your game. Every fortnight week, we offer a specific building request for builders of all levels to tackle in their own unique way. We offer different levels of experience, and those who enter receive (at the very least because it's usually many more) one rec and a download for your work.
