Why all the focus on non-simulation football modes?
As I understand it, the exclusive rights contract with the NFL gives EA the only legal right to produce a SIMULATION NFL football game, yes? So, why is all the focus of development by the Madden team on all these game modes such as MUT and The Yard which are NOT simulation NFL football? Buying packs with non-real world player ratings to build a fantasy team is not simulation NFL football. Playing 7 on 7 or whatever it is in neon uniforms and shorts is not simulation NFL football. I'm not faulting EA for including these game modes. Some people find them fun and they generate a lot of micro money and EA is a business so I get why these modes exist. But if the contract is all about producing a simulation NFL football game, and being the only company that has the right to do so, why does the lion share of development get devoted to these type of game modes which are not simulation football? Franchise mode is the mode that represents simulation NFL football, and yet, year after year it seems very little to no focus gets put to improving it. Things like SpongeBob stadiums get time and effort put into them, yet trade and free agency get overlooked? Zone coverage and blocking functioning properly get pushed to the side for custom cleats and MUT packs? These priorities seem backwards to me and out of step with the nature of the exclusive rights for NFL football. Again, not faulting EA for having these other game modes. The fact they exist is not a problem. But prioritizing them over the actual simulation football mode is troubling to many of us and why we are choosing to move on from Madden. I feel like the resources exist to still develop and nurture the alternative non-simulation game modes while still building a strong simulation NFL football game mode like Franchise. I guess if the focus is not on the simulation football mode, then fine. But then remove the simulation football terminology from the exclusive contract and let another company focus and develop that type of product. If not, then it's time to stay true to the nature of the contract and make the simulation football game mode of Franchise an actual priority every year instead of an afterthought. I do not say any of this with ill will. I grew up playing Madden when it was all about simulation football and wish that were still true, but I just don't believe it is at this point. This is why I have not bought the game since I believe 2016 or so when the focus changed to MUT and other alternative game modes. As a final thought, wasn't it Coach Madden's vision for the game to be focused on and about a simulation of playing real-life football? It was, and that is what put Madden and EA Sports on the map decades ago. I know this, because I lived it. The game as it stands today has strayed very, very far from that and it's very disappointing to see. I say this as constructive criticism, I hope it is taken as such and understood that this is the reason many people are walking away from the gaming franchise they once loved and looked forward to every year. Desync problem

Can't Pick a Play or Call Timeout etc
I was playing a game yesterday and in the 4th I got stuck almost every play or so where I was unable to pick a play on offense. The only fix was to pause and unpause but you only get like 1 pause in the game. It was CFM and the only thing I could do is wait to get a delay of game. Thank god I was blowing him out but that could've sucked in a close game. I can link the twitch vod if it's helpful but it's literally how I described it the playart would come up and no inputs work, can't scroll and pick a play and can't call timeout.
cant invite friends
I bought this to play with my cousin and we can't even play together . Starting to get pretty damn frustated. We are friends on the EA app, everytime we play we either cant see each other online in the game to invite each other, or he can see me but I do not receive an invitation when he sends one. Can't login to EA servers
I have bought EA play and downloaded Madden 23. I go to play it, and I can't log in to the EA servers. So, I went to make sure my PlayStation account and EA account were linked... it was... so I thought that maybe if I unlinked it and relinked it, it might work. I have tried to talk to chat support twice today. The first told me that because I unlinked and relinked my Playstation account to EA, I'd need to reinstall Madden 23. So, I did that... it's reinstalled, and I still can't login to EA servers on my game. I haven't played it yet. I haven't created a character. On the main page, beside the touchpad icon, my PlayStation account name is there, so I know I'm logged in with my PlayStation account fine. The "Thanks Coach" picture has "Sign into EA servers" on it. So I click the 3 dots, and go to EA account... it loads as though it's going to log me in... then it pops up an error window briefly saying: In order to access the online features for this title your account on PlayStation network must be signed in and you must be signed in to the EA servers". That only pops up briefly before switching to: "Warning: Unknown Error occurred". So I click OK, and it goes back to the previous error: "In order to access..." The second chat agent can't figure out my problem, because my fiance also has his own TV, his own PlayStation, his own ea play subscription, his own ea account, his own PlayStation account and his own PlayStation plus. His Madden 23 works fine. So it's not a problem with our router because we have no problems playing any other games at the same time. There is no reason why I can't log in, and it's not a really good first impression of EA play. I buy it to play Madden, and I can't even log in to create my first character!
Why are madden servers so bad?
I would genuinely like an EA employee to explain to me why Madden servers crash consistently. You can't play the game for even an hour consecutively without it kicking you out and then you cannot get back in either for the rest of the day. I have played every Madden since Madden 18 and the same issue has persisted. I couldn't be typing this post if it was an issue with my wifi. My Xbox account is fine, again I couldn't be logging in to Madden at all if it wasn't. So I'd like to get an explanation as to why this issue has NEVER been remotely close to fixed. I want an answer. I'm not the only one. More than 70 percent of your players probably want the same. For reference I am on Madden 23, you might ask why I'm not even playing Madden 24, probably because I don't want to buy an entirely different console just to get new features that probably won't even work anyways.
