The Sims 5 should be much more Advanced , with more Player control.More player involvement.
Even if you want to claim that you dont want The Sims to be just like real life, thats cool and that isnt the point. That isnt really the argument im making here either. Its about just how little effort has been made to actually make the games an immersive and fun experience. In sims 3 there were imaginary movie theaters. And our sims would disappear inside to have popcorn and watch movies on the big screen while you waited outside. And Imaginary diners where sims would teleport to their booths and have all this pretend food and you would imagine them being inside and having this great time. There were also Imaginary spas, where your sims would go to treat themselves to saunas and back rubs, but you couldnt get a peek inside. And make believe sports arenas where sims sat back with hot dogs and refreshments and watched games you could never see. And even imaginary tombs at the graveyard where sims would go inside and become spooked by something scary. But you had to imagine what it might be. I think that so far, the sims games have failed to be proper life simulations at all. And if Sims 5 is more of the same, what is the incentive to shell out the money for it? After I have already invested literally hundreds of dollars on Sims 4 and if you combine Sims 1,2,3 and 4 over the years thats well over $1000 of content just to be able to do the same stunted imaginary play in each new game. Rabbit holes, should be optional, for those who want less .But those of us who dont want to imagine and pretend our way through a game that calls itself a life simulation, we should have the chance to play a game where all of the activities can be actively participated with by the player. And OPEN to us. In sims 4 it has been announced that one of the new water activities it just a rabbit hole. Why is it that we are still being forced to play in such a closed off manner? You have those who dont mind rabbit holes and thats okay. But what if I dont want just another building shell to run off too. It should not be on me the player, to imagine things. I dont want that, I want to be a part of the gameplay. I need more for Sims 5 in order for me to actually buy it, because im not buying a 5th title for the same tired and rehashed experience. There is honestly no reason to even create a new title , if you're not going to innovate and expand to new heights you've never before reached. Us original simmers are getting older now. Sims 5 should be a new sims experience.Allow us to have more openness and more gameplay abilities than we ever had before.3.8KViews1like155CommentsMy Sims Suggestions....
Hello! I just wanted to share my random thoughts on what I think a "perfect" Sims game would have. This is more so realistic add ins. I don't really touch base on fantasy things like vampires, werewolf's etc. All in all, I think the concepts in The Sims 4 are great.... but let's not deny the truth. The gameplay is trash. This game really could've been something amazing!!! Also, at the price of the packs.... to have them all basically ya know, not work, is ridiculous. I would have absolutely no problem paying these prices for a game that ACTUALLY worked, and with awesome game play!! I don't mind adding CC like furniture, or clothes and hair. But I should not have to download tons of mods just to enjoy playing this game. Anyways.... - The graphics of Sims 4 (to me) is the best. But with the game play of Sims 2 mixed with Sims 3 would be superior. - Do not do online game play.... PLEASE. - Please bring back cars. Even if you cant drive them! I loved placing them in the driveways. I feel like your car adds to the story line of the Sim. - Babies/Infants/Toddlers need more items. As in actual realistic items. Walkers, strollers, things for twins or multiple kids (double strollers), swings to calm them, floats for them in the pool, being able to go for a walk with a toddler like maybe pushing an infant in the stroller, while your toddler walks in front of you, or while holding another baby in a holder. WAY more hair, shoes and clothing options!! Would also be nice if they had more interactions. Ex: Toddlers being able to play "tag" with other toddlers, or a toddler who isn't being watched starts coloring on the walls... hahaha - PLEASE bring back the Sims 3 genetic system. Why are my two black Sims giving birth to a white baby??? - Playable animals. Never do it how you did for Sim 4 ever again lol and if you do... don't even make them count towards my household! Also - bring back the genetics system for the animals as well. - For the love of god.... fix the phone. Why is my husband calling me on my cell phone while he's asleep in bed? Why is my newborn trying to scam me over the phone!? - Make seasons selectable per world. Ex: if I'm in a beach world, and use it mainly for beach vacations / rentals I want the season to stay summer 24/7 in that town! - I actually like the feature of teens getting acne, and Sims being able to grow beards etc, but I also wish that they could break legs, and arms lol especially the kids! Going to football practice while not focused could cause them to be more likely to get a concussion or come home with a broken arm. - More jobs. Please. Especially things that are widely used everywhere.... like a dentist. Also signing up kids/teens for braces would be cool! OBGYNs, Social Worker, Realtor, Military (different branches), Reporter, Farmer, Preacher, Truck Driver, Garbage Man, Baker, Banker, Daycare Teacher, Nanny, Dance Teacher, Art Teacher, Professional Dancer, Librarian, etc. Having Internships during or after college would also be cool. - More afterschool activities for kids AND teens (that you can customize the schedule for!!) Ex: football, baseball, soccer, cheerleading, wrestling, tennis, hockey, dance (would be cool if you could select the type of dance within like jazz, pointe, or tap etc), band, school year book, school journalism, weightlifting, gymnastics, lacrosse. I don't even want them to be playable obviously, but just more options with be nice. Especially if you can practice them at home like how you could have a ballet bar in Sims 3 (or 2 I don't remember) and how you can practice on a cheer mat in Sims 4! I just find it odd how theirs like 4 afterschool activities but yet there is 500000 different books you can buy and read?? - Private schools like the Sims 2!! That was fun to me!! Also boarding schools as well was nice and added to the storyline of the Sims. Being able to send you "troubled" child to a military boarding school lol - Being able to walk a dog as a kid (and up) + being able to walk at least two at once! - Opened worlds like the Sims 3 was the mooooovvvveee for sure! I absolutely loved it. But would be cool if you could turn that off in the settings like if your computer couldn't handle that??? Idk if that's even possible but just an idea. - Some Sims 4 actives def need to come with the next game. Archery, horseback riding (please let kids do this and all the actives!), kayaking, the boats (and like Sims 3). I love how the toddlers can play in the water lol - For the love of god fix the family tree first and foremost. Why do my grandparents not really act like it? Why do I not know that's my Uncle, or my Step-Dad? Please get it together Sims team. - Bring back the real music!!!!! I loved hearing a Sims version of Beyonce and Luke Bryan hahahaha that was hilarious!!!! - Being able to "segregate" Sims would be nice. STAY WITH ME HERE LOL! I mean as in I don't want fairies etc in towns unless I want them there..... sometimes I like for certain worlds to just stay within their "theme". - Why do townies look like that. Be so f*cking for real guys. - I would love love love love a true royalty pack! I'd actually prefer for it to be an entirely different game. Think Sims Medieval but wayyyyyyy more interactive. I hated that you only could play in quests, and there wasn't much customizing? I'd love to be able to actually dictate how my village ends up etc. when one Sims dies it changes the monarchy etc. - I don't know the mechanics behind this and if it would mess up the game somehow but I would love to be able to make an entire world from scratch. As in EVERYTHING. Like Sims 3 but more.... I want to be able to pick out every single one of the people who work in the grocery stores, the library, the principles at the schools... everyone! - Bring back things like the earth quakes etc and fire fighters!! That was a cool career. - If you do make playable careers please do the dental field, and fire fighters again. I also think it would be cool to actually assign SAHMs! And they can have everyday tasks to complete or something. - If you're going to add in nannies please make it to where I can customize when they're coming and the times. I hated having to hire one each and every time. I want them to just show up when they know I'm about to go to work - or just because I want the extra help daily! It would also be nice if you could tell the nanny your preference, if you'd want them to be strict, or more like gentle parenting. - If you're going to do a crossover addiction like how you did with Katy Perry, IKEA, and Sponge Bob... can we please have something more so like.... Harry Potter? ESPECIALLY if we already have a supernatural pack at that point. Just plz give me a Harry Potter world and Hogwarts lol. - I truly think if you're going to allow a Sims to have twins / triplets then you need to provide twin/triplets items. Like a stroller that fits 3. Or even special achievements or traits that multiples can have. like successfully fooling your school for switching for the day lol or a "twin telepathy" trait. Where if your twin is sad, the other one can sense it and it affects their mood a little bit as well! - More, more, more, more, and more personality traits. I also loved the zodiac sign they used to have! - Why do my teens look exactly like a young adult? Why do they not have a lot of their own type of aspirations? Why does a young adult look like an adult? - Small animals like a bunny cage, hamsters, snakes, lizards, ferrets, guinea pigs etc - I think it would be cool if how you lived life in your adulthood affected your elder sims directly. Ex: a Sim who never ever worked out is less likely to have good posture, not live as long, and have high chances of health complications. Something along those lines. - I LOVE the addition of free weights, and the spin bike we got with Adventure Awaits! - Being able to qualify for assistance like food stamps, Medicaid etc would also be kinda "cool". I just think it would add to storylines well! I also think you should have to buy phones. If I want to do like a rags to riches story, why does my Sims automatically have access to a iPhone lol - I LOVEEEE the walking trails within Sims 4 Growing Together pack (I think?). But whenever you add features like this.... can you please go back and add it into pervious worlds as well? I would love to be able to power walk in any world. Not just the one that came with the pack. Same with things like the park. Whenever you add in new kids playground things or water park toys etc, before selling us the game and updating the game, please go in and edit the parks to reflect some of the new items. Or once you added the ac/heating and the burglar alarm why didn't you go in and add it to every single base game home, or even just the ones that made sense to have it? It feels.... lazy af to not. - Back to seasons. I love the holiday thing! Very cute. However, I hate if I'm playing with one household during Winter, and I switch to another one and it changes to spring, why is my winter decorations in the previous house still there? I think it should automatically updated all the homes if you have a pre-set decorations, or the decoration box on the lot. (that way if you have a Sims who's a Gump and hates kids, that specific house wouldn't be decked out automatically for Christmas, or Halloween!). Also, I think it would be nice to save your house with holiday presets. So every time you decorate for Easter, it automatically could decorate the entire house (inside included) how you previously set it up! - Sims University could also be better. More athletics, I think theirs a reasonable amount of degrees, better sorority systems, better dorms, more parties, more traits that you can only get by certain things you do in college. Having your child have random thoughts of like "thinking about going to _____ like my dad". - Summers for kids/teens. Especially if you can send them off to camp! That would be cool. It would also be nice for kids/teens to have summer specific jobs! Pet sitting, baby sitting, lemonade stand, stablehand, lifeguard, dog walker, lawn mower, paper route etc. - For each pack you add there needs to be at least two jobs added. That's just my opinion! If you add in Cats & Dogs, that should've automatically came with a veterinarian job, and a dog walking part time job at LEAST. The Horse Ranch pack should've came with a horse trainer job, stable hand job, and a large animal veterinarian job. Back to improving each pack when you add a new pack - the Horse Ranch pack should've also updated the veterinarian job. Adding in large animals for house calls or something. Also adding in horse trails into multiple worlds, not just one. - You should be able to adopt teens. - When you get food from the fridge, you should automatically be given the leftovers that are appropriate to the time of day. Why is my Sim eating a rack of ribs before school. - This is random but I loved the take out options in Sims 2/3. Like ordering takeout Chinese! - Being able to send your kids/teens off to do something with friends. Like the movies, bowling, go for a walk, gossip at a coffee shop, walk around the mall, hangout with boyfriend/girlfriend, go to a water park. Really anything that just gets them out of the house for a couple hours. These are just some of my suggestions! I know there are mods for some of these but like I said, we shouldn't have to mod the game just for it to be enjoyable!Bring discontinued Sims titles into Apple Arcade
Bring discontinued Sims titles into Apple Arcade EA games and Maxis have been playing around with Sims franchise for so long and many titles have been made and discontinued so please Work on remake for Apple Arcade with better visuals add Sims games like: The Sims 2 Castaway Console edition The sims 3 iOS MySims Racing, Agent, Sky… SimCity and much more all with All packs included and multiplayer in real time as well to play with friends in same place in campaign mods16Views0likes0CommentsThe future of the Sims
Reading the blog post is says they were making new games or basically no more one linear game.Meaning I think we're going to have bunch of different sims games for all sorts of players. They might reboot mysims or make better A more complex basegame they might make something like the sims 3 in the future.934Views4likes29CommentsMidsummer Studios’ Life Simulation Game vs. Sims 5 (Rene)?
Jake Solomon is a gaming industry veteran responsible for Marvel's Midnight Suns and the modern XCOM franchise. In March 2023, it was reported that he left 2K's Firaxis studio in February after 23 years. (XCOM’s Jake Solomon is forming a new studio and ‘likely won’t make a turn-based game’) He stated: XCOM director said he would likely make a simulation title, rather than another turn-based strategy game. “My intention, if anybody gives me the funding for it, is to open my own studio locally and make a new kind of game,” he said. “I can’t move too far away from what my experience is. I’m a creative director, but the truth is I’m actually a very in-the-weeds system designer. “I make games as a creative director but I actually end up designing a lot of the systems for the games. Even on Midnight Suns, I had some amazing designers but I ended up designing individual heroes, enemies and their abilities… “System design is important to me, so I want to make a systems-based game. I think it won’t be turn-based strategy… I want to make something that’s more of a life simulator or a simulation-style game. That’s the plan.” In December 2023, Rock Paper Shotgun reported a new interview with Jake Solomon ("Jake Solomon uncut: here's our post-Firaxis GDC interview in full") Some excerpts: You mentioned that you were quite excited by the idea of a life sim game. What life sims have you played over the years? What is it about them that you enjoy? There's a number of things that appeal. Without talking specifically about what it is I want to do, I think that the appeal of life sims is kind of manifold, but I think that, one, it's just life in miniature, right? From model train sets to doll houses to army men, there's something about life in miniature that I think is just naturally appealing. And I think the power of having the life that you want? You think like, 'Oh my gosh, simulating life, like, I already have a life and that feels like enough work!' But being able to have a different life and a life you want, I think it's really, really appealing. Is it those stories that emerge from within the simulation that get you fired up? Yeah, I think that everything feels original, there's a lot of procedural-ness to it, right? And then everything feels original to you because it's procedural. And when it feels original, it feels authentic. And it feels shareable. Even if it's just turning to your partner and saying, 'You're never going to believe what just happened!' Whether it's Dwarf Fortress, or whether it's The Sims or whatever it is, simulation can create some really fun experiences. Now that you're looking more towards the live sim genre, has there been a lot of iteration in it in from your point of view, or is there still room to do something new? Well, Paradox and Ron Humble just did a really neat . I mean, I thought that that take on that straight up life sim was unique. It's interesting to look at. There's a lot of village simulations, right? So I don't know if it's pejorative yet but cosy games, right? There's a sim-ish nature to that even down to Stardew and things like that. And then to see something like Dwarf Fortress go from ASCII to actual graphics and then seeing how popular that is, I think that there's been iteration. But definitely to me, I see an opportunity. As a designer, I see a lot of ways that I'd love to jump in and have my own take on this. SimmerErin recently published a video on the news: What do you think? Have you played any of his games? Personally, I find his background intriguing. I like that he stated that he's been focused on systems-building; this can lend itself to the life simulation genre. In the Sims series, I've always enjoyed in-depth gameplay systems. ✨ SUGESTÃO PARA O THE SIMS 4 – Jogadora há 14 anos Olá, equipe The Sims! Sou jogadora da franquia há mais de 14 anos, começando no The Sims 1, e gostaria de compartilhar algumas sugestões que acredito que muitos jogadores também amariam ver no jogo. 🌴 1. 🎨 3.
Gracias
