Life by You vs. Sims 5 (Rene)? Rod Humble and Paradox's Life Simulation Game
Rod Humble, a former real-life Sims executive and Sims 2 NPC, is reportedly working on a life simulation game since 2018. For context, Paralives started development in the same year. The most publicly-available details of the project can be read in this excellent profile, though it is light on specifics. A few days ago, Rod on Twitter announced he's going off social media for a few months to intensely work for an important time in the game. The tweet is here. The text is as follows: Taking another break from social media & community my friends. Nothing bad, just clearing my mind to focus on an important time for the game. I hope some of you will be future customers and my focus is on delivering a great game to serve you. Love you all, seeya in a few months. I think he could be gearing up for a first announcement or teaser of the game. What do you guys think? I'm very excited. Would you guys buy Sims 5, this new competitor, or both? Until then, we wanted to make sure you have a new space here to discuss Project Rene. Enjoy! (We understand that you may have ideas related to Project Rene content, features, and improvements. The Sims team cannot use your unsolicited ideas and we have to delete them so please do not submit your ideas to us.)13KViews17likes0Commentssuggestion/ideas that sims 5 should include in the game
Hello, all simmers! I wanted to create a new topic on what sims 5 " Project Rene" should have included. Feel free to state your ideas! Sims 5 should have: - no loading screens between neighbourhoods - cars/bicycles that work - More pets with more interactions ( hamsters don't just stay in the cage, can roam the house, snakes, birds, reptiles, monkeys that can sit on sim shoulders, horses, carriages. - No more sims strangers joining a conversation between playable sims - Height sliders -More animations, more romantic interactions and maybe unlocked secrets interactions - Make it harder for sims to become lovers just like in TS2 and TS1 - Sims can have different friendship bars and romance bars, for example, one sim can like a sim and the other can hate the sim; sim 1 likes sim 2 but sim 2 dislikes sim 1 - No more using the sink in the bathroom to wash dishes - teenagers look like teenagers - sims should have more life stages. infant, baby, toddler, child, pre-teen, teen, young adult, adult, elder - Halloween, trick or treat, costumes, Christmas etc - Mosques and churches, sims should introduce a religion that we can pick in make-a-sim. For example, a Muslim sim cannot have an intimate relationship before marriage sims should have more "self-rules" - Arranged marriages not based on romance but family reasons, sims can ask family for a " hand in marriage" - Abortions and being able to put a baby up for adoption - Risky woohoo - Not every sim should get happy about being pregnant, make us choose how the sims feel about it - Teen and adult romance. Let's be real how many of you wanted your teen to have an adult BF/GF? - Teen pregnancies, it would make sense since most birth rates are from teens - If a teen got pregnant parents can choose whether to support, accept or be mad - More career options - No more rabbit holes, please EA - More professions such as hairdresser, spa, firefighter, and singer like TS3 - Option to choose the sim's sexuality in create-a-sim like Gay/lesbian/bi and straight. If one sim is straight and the other is gay, the straight sim will refuse any romantic interactions - Sims can own a shop and run the shop such as a clothing shop a coffee shop a restaurant, a grocery store etc - Vacation destinations, china, Paris, India, the middle east, Tokyo, islands, resorts etc - Like TS3, be able to own and build your resort, club, lounge, park etc - Acting career, with no rabbit holes, actually be able to interact and become a celebrity - Small interactions add a huge amount of realism to the game and there are many that we miss. Who would like to see the return of cuddling in bed for instance? - Dating preferences. I have a lot more to include but I don't want to make this too long. Thanks for reading! What would you like to see in sims 5?11KViews9likes62CommentsProject Rene computer specs?
Hi, I know project rene is early in the making but im just wondering if anyone knows what specs you need to have to run the game? Im saving up to a new computer, and in the sneak peek it looked like it had really good graphics so I want to be sure that the computer im getting can keep up with the game even on higher graphic settings..10KViews1like11CommentsTwitter Reacts to Project Rene

Hi, in my opinion, The Sims should be more realistic in terms of the characters. Everyone should agree that sims should have imperfections and disabilities. Because not every sim should be perfect. Sims characters should have things like: - Crooked nose, Uneven lips. Scoliosis. - Women should have breasts that grow abnormally and look uneven. I mean we already have body hair in the newest update so I don't need to mention that. - Amputations and real life situations causing an amputation. - Hearing Aids, Sign language. Sim struggling to speak due to having a speech problem from being deaf. - Genetic Disorders. Such as Dwarfism, Autism, ADHD, Depression, BPD, Bipolar, etc. - Birth Defects. One arm is shorter than the other, one leg grows at a slower rate, extra fingers, cleft lip. Option for surgery to fix most of these problems, and prosthetics. - Down Syndrome. - Learning Difficulty, Developmental Delay. Sims learning at a slower pace than others. Special Education. - Paraplegics. An option for the sim to go to the toilet in the wheelchair and change the bag after stooling, also known as colostomy. (this should be censored in the game) - Disability Parking and a Parking Permit. Option to apply for one. - Support Workers, Teachers Aides. Option for children and parents to make friends with Teachers Aides. - Options for a sim to help someone with a disability. Calling emergency services, Helping them pick something up, asking to help them up the stairs, Push their wheelchair. Help bath them, etc. - Funding for the disability since it's hard for most people with a disability to find work. - Hand railings in bathroom and mobility friendly options. Vehicles made to store wheelchairs, Wheelchairs, Canes, Walkers, obviously. - Mental health courses, Psychology. I myself suffer from ADHD and I have tried my best to describe these things without being too rude. But I believe that people with these disabilities should be normalised and not refused from a simulator game. Many of these should not be graphic but something educational for people who don't have disabilities like we do.Solved3.5KViews7likes5Comments
