Split Fiction: EA Play Pre-Login Check blocks PS5 Child Accounts by default.
Ok, so I'm trying to play split fiction with my son. Within the world of PS5, I allowed the game and set it up so he has local access without issue. However, he splits his time between myself and his mum. When he's with his mum though, he simply cannot play it at on his account. It simply won't allow him to connect to EA servers to even log in. Here's what I've worked out so far: Local Play. No issues at all, we can play together on the same PS5. Online Play: I set up an EA child account for him so he could play. When he starts the game, he gets a box on the screen to log in to an EA Account. He also has the button that says 'Play Online'. In both cases, if you click it, I get the following errors: Gameplay recording paused because you entered a block scene (this disappears after 3 seconds) Unable to Login. This account cannot get online. There might be a few reasons why this might be. See https://ea.com/unable-to-connect for possible reasons and some troubleshooting you can try. The only option at this point is to close). When you click close you get the next error Unable to connect to the EA servers. Please check your internet connection and try again. Please see ea.com/unable-to-connect for more information. Result Code: 401-18eea To confirm, there are no issues with network and internet access at either side. For example, on my parent account, I have no issues at all and I can even invite my son through the PlayStation network. However, when he receives the invite, the same thing as above happens. My conclusion is that EA Play is checking the PS5 account age, confirms its a child account, and then blocks the account from accessing the login servers, hence the 401 error (which is usually associated with forbidden) before it even reaches the login servers and likely due to the age of the game being PEGI16, even though the game has been marked as allowed in PS5 family management. So, I need to ask, is there a way to switch off the child account check on EA Play that happens prior to login?, or at least allow me to allow the game for him (like on PS5) so it bypasses the check for specific games like Split Fiction? Any help to understand or resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.
Split Fiction: HDR issue on PS5
Hello there. I would like to raise here the issue about the HDR issue where the colors start great but then everything becomes hazy (pun intended). My TV is an LG OLED C3 with HGIG enabled and tested with both PS5 HDR "On" and "When supported".
Split Fiction - Suggestions
Subtitles size adjustment: I'd be great to have control over subtitles size. At least playing on 4K, I found it really small and difficult to read. Camera auto rotation: "camera assistance" feature doesn't seems to make any difference when turned on. My partner isn't really a gamer person and she struggles a lot trying to adjust the camera with the joystick every time she walks. It would be really great if we had some improvements in this aspect too. DLSS: is a really missing feature and currently better than FSR. Any future plans for having it available? I hope this is the right place to put this kind of suggestion/feedback. We are loving the game even with all the things mentioned above, and despite not having pt-BR voice (our native language).
Split Fiction - Unable to Launch Game on Steam
After clicking the Play button for Split Fiction on Steam, it will prepare to launch for play then stop and the button will revert back as Play. The game never came up and it has worked before. My laptop meets the system requirements for the game. I’ve tried following instructions online to set the graphic card for the game and make some modifications to game properties on steam and none worked.
