BF6 on Steam: Always “3 files failed to validate”
Platform: PC Launcher: Steam Issue type: Technical / Performance / File integrity I am consistently experiencing an issue where Battlefield 6 fails Steam file validation after every gameplay session. Symptoms: After playing a match (usually within 5 minutes), performance degrades (stutters / frame-time spikes). After exiting the game and running Steam “Verify integrity of game files,” Steam always reports: “3 files failed to validate and will be reacquired.” This happens every session, and it is always the same number of files. What I have already tried (no change): Full uninstall and reinstall Repeated Steam file verification Disabling EA in-game overlay Running EA App and Steam normally Disabling XMP / memory overclock (JEDEC speeds) NVMe storage (Samsung 990 PRO) No other games show file corruption or similar behavior Observations: The performance degradation occurs during gameplay, before validation. The issue reproduces 100% of the time. Community context: Multiple PC players are reporting the same issue (always “3 files failed to validate”) on Reddit and other forums. This appears to be related to Battlefield 6 runtime behavior and/or EA Anti-Cheat rather than individual system hardware. Request: Can this issue please be acknowledged and escalated to the Battlefield / Anti-Cheat team? Thank you.619Views5likes7Comments[UI] Mouse Sensitivity values halved in General Tab
Platform : PC Summarize your bug : In Battlefield 6, when setting both "Soldier Mouse Sensitivity" and "Vehicle Mouse Sensitivity" in the "Mouse & Keyboard" tab, the corresponding values in the "General" (Controller) tab are displayed as exactly half the value. For example, setting them to 10 in "Mouse & Keyboard" results in 5 in the "General" tab. This creates confusion regarding the actual sensitivity being applied for both infantry and vehicles. How often does the bug occur? : Every time (100%) Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? : Open the "Options" menu. Navigate to the "Mouse & Keyboard" tab. Set "Soldier Mouse Sensitivity" (On Foot) and "Vehicle Mouse Sensitivity" (Vehicle) to a specific value (e.g., 10). Navigate to the "General" tab. Check the corresponding sensitivity values in this tab. What happens when the bug occurs? : The "General" tab displays the sensitivities as 5 (half of the values set in the previous step), despite the "Mouse & Keyboard" tab showing 10. What do you expect to see? : Both tabs should display the consistent and same values to avoid player confusion. When creating a new sim in CAS, my likes and dislikes panel disappears whenever I try to select my sim's traits. I'm running a vanilla game on a new save file. I have tried repairing my game and deleting the localthumbcache.package file which only made the problem worse somehow.9Views0likes2CommentsProblem with Anti-Cheat (code 115)
When I start the game, firstly it takes a very long time to start, this has never happened before. Secondly it does not start and gives an error. It says that the error code is 115, and they ask to update the anti-cheat, the address is given where to do it. I did exactly that, downloaded the anti-cheat, into the game folder, updated it and installed it, but nothing helped, I also completely cleared the possible cache on my PC, updated all the drivers, including the BIOS, reinstalled the driver for the video card, but the game does not work, and I am asking you for helping me. I am very angry because the game was released 3 months ago, and it has constant problems, either with performance, or with starting it at all, and I wonder why I paid so much money for it, when the game does not even start, and this is not even my problem. Why do other games work without problems, and yours has constant problems. YOU NEED TO FIX THIS **bleep** ISSUE BECAUSE I PAID MONEY FOR THIS GAME!!!!!!317Views11likes5CommentsPC Hard Crash / BSOD in Multiplayer – IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (eaanticheat.sys)
I'm having game crashes which have been ongoing, often when leaving a match, and now kernal level crashes in the middle of matches that point to the games anti cheat. I don't know if they're related or not. I've uploaded a zip with 3 folders, first is the last 3 frostbite minidump files from game crashes. Second is a kernal minidump from the first hard crash I got. Third includes event viewer logs from a kernal memory dump from second hard crash, along with msinfo32/dxdiag info.92Views0likes6CommentsPSA: Mouse Input is broken in this game (looks similar to bad frame timing)
Mouse input is broken, which ruins an otherwise well optimised game. This looks to be getting confused with poor frame timing in a lot of threads, but controller input is unaffected. For reference, I easily average over 100fps even on the bigger maps, but panning the camera with mouse input makes the game feel like it's running at 15fps despite no drops. In-game reporting confirms it's running perfectly, as CPU/GPU are always rendering within 10fps of eachother. Connect a controller though? Buttery smooth camera panning, and easy to track enemies. No hitches or stutters, just butter. I've tried: - All polling rates, from 125hz up to 4000hz - Toggling raw input on/off - Enabling/disabling Nvidia reflex - Changing USB ports, changing to different mice, wired/wireless - USB power saving etc all turned off - I even tried a driver/Nvidia CP restore, but as controller is super smooth, this was a long shot in the first place Unfortunately the game is unplayable using a mouse on PC due to this. It's next to impossible to track targets, and you quickly get a headache from the micro stuttering when panning. The effect is very similar to Helldivers 2 on PC, when you turn off 'Mouse Smoothing', as that game has serious issues with raw mouse input. Happy to hear suggestions on how to fix this. Mice tried: - Keychron M4 - Logitech G305 - Logitech G604 - Razer Naga Hyperspeed - AttackShark M1 I've also tried on an entirely different PC, same results. OLED as always exhacerbates the issue too, due to the awesome pixel response times. I fear many won't see it due to slower LCDs. Specs are: 5700x3d 3060ti 8GB 32GB DDR4 3600 CL16 AW3423DW (Gsync module version) This is on a fresh Windows install, up to date drivers (tried DDU as well to be sure), but honestly since it's running beautifully with a controller, this looks to be purely a mouse input issue. No other games exhibit this issue other than... Helldivers 2, and Battlefield V. BF1 is butter on mouse, as are BF3 and BF4. Helldivers 2 can be fixed by turning on mouse smoothing in game. I almost bought a GPU upgrade before testing the Xbox controller, saved myself £600. Latest CM post: Hi everyone, Thanks for sharing your experiences and feedback so far. We understand this issue is especially frustrating when it impacts your ability to play smoothly with a mouse. While we’ve asked for similar information before (here), to move forward and make meaningful progress, it is absolutely essential that you provide detailed and precise information responding to the specific request below. Giving vague comments without concrete details won’t help us troubleshoot, escalate, or investigate effectively. If you’re able to, please reply directly to this post by clicking the Reply button on this post. This keeps your info neatly organised and makes it much easier for us (and the studio) to track everything. Please avoid replying to the original post or posting at the bottom of the thread, as this makes it harder for everyone to follow the conversation. Here’s what would be super helpful for us to know: Mouse mode (wired or wireless) Mouse polling rate (e.g. 1000Hz) Whether you’re using mouse software (like Razer Synapse) Where your mouse is plugged in (PC, monitor, hub, etc.) Keyboard model and connection type (wired/wireless) Keyboard polling rate Whether you’re using keyboard software Where your keyboard is plugged in Monitor model Full PC specs (CPU, GPU with driver version, RAM) Full Windows OS version (not just "Windows 11") Whether Gsync or VRR is enabled Full screen mode (fullscreen, borderless, windowed) Which platform do you play on (EA app or Steam) Any overlays active during play (Discord, EA app, Nvidia overlay, etc.) CPU and GPU usage percentages while playing Whether the issue improves with a framerate cap (e.g. 125 FPS) The more details you can share, the better we can help. We know it’s a lot to ask, but this is the only way we can ensure the right information reaches the team and move things forward. Thanks so much for your patience and for helping us out with this. We really appreciate it!Solved83KViews227likes1157Comments!HELP! Account got hacked (Lost a lot of coins)

Whenever I try to play the game the EA JAvelin Anti-cheat fails to launch, producing the following error the program encountered c00004c2 at 00002302 during initialization Insufficient virtual address resourves to complete the operation I have done a fresh install of the game, EA App, EA Anticheat, deleted all user files related to Battlefield, validated the files, updated my DirectX and video drivers. I have restarted my computer Idk how many times. And yet the issue persists. Before this, the game would freeze, then crash mid-game to the desktop, producing no errors, and the anti-cheat files would fail to validate. They all validate now. I am in secure boot.
