Shards for "Blast from the Past" tied to account
I was able to work through this but I wanted to point out that it can be an issue when items from the events are tied to the save file the event was started with. For instance, the Shards from this challenge cannot reappear after being found. My daughter plays Sims sometimes as well, and she has a habit of deleting her save files (which is BANANAS to me, but there is no convincing a 10 year old how to game). I changed save files to continue the event, and realized it was not possible to continue the event on my main save because that person did not get the Shards. So this is more of a question/ suggestion: If there is specific items tied to an event, when a new file activates that event previous mandatory items other files have gathered should autopopulate the file that is being played, otherwise issues can happen (such as gathering the metal on one file and the shards in another). No shade though, I seriously love these events and I think they are brilliant. Good work Sims team!Blast From The Past: Not enough points to claim everything
So, I'm on PSN. No mods, nothing extra, all vanilla gameplay. I've been doing the event since it started, week by week, and just now I seemed to have completed week four, but for some reason I'm seven event rewards shy of the end. There are no further quests, and my progress is halted right before the party cake. I don't know what to do, or why it happened, or what's going on, but I can tell you I'm frustrated. Any suggestions might be helpful. I can only assume that certain progress xp wasn't registered for some reason. Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title“Blast From The Past” event (week 3) - “Repair or Replace the computer” problem
After completing the Time Travel Component interaction on a PC, the computer breaks and the next quest item is to repair that computer. When hovering over the task, the listed suggestions are to repair, replace or hire a repairman service. HOWEVER, I selected the “insta-repair” option as my sim has level 10 handiness and that doesn’t seem to be compliant with the task. So I have a non-broken PC and this outstanding task. Planning on putting the PC out next time it rains and see if that breaks it again. In the meantime, any suggestions on what else I can do? (At the very least hopefully this can be a warning for others who are yet to start this week’s event!) SOLVED! After a couple of in-game days, the task resolved itself on its own, appearing with a pop up “Computer Back Online” (“Whew! That was indeed close. The computer is available again, and the Time Travel Component is intact and back in place.”)SolvedBlast From the past: Building component didn't fulfill task
Hi, Having issues with the Blast from the past event, where I've completed the current task. The time travel component is even in my inventory. Although it will not allow me to move past this. I have attempted to remove any mods etc, and have also attempted to repair the game. No change. Has anyone else had this issue? Or able to assist with what to try next? Thank you. Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted TitleBlast from the Past Event: Blocked from Progressing (Crashing/..)
I did Week 2 of the Blast from the Past Event and the game kept crashing multiple times as I progressed through the quests. Unfortunately, just after I completed all the quests for the week and unlocked the reward objects, the game crashed and I could only open my save at a point where my quests hadn't fully finished yet. And now I have three Time Shards in my inventory I can't interact with at all, since the game considers the quests complete and I can't pick up the quest from the crash. Does anyone know of a way to reset my Event progress so I can start Week 2 all over again and get it right? Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted TitleBlast From the past: repair/ upgrade an object
Hi, I haven't been able to move past this quest, even though I have upgraded multiple objects, and have read the handiness book multiple times. I haven't found any broken items to repair so have not been able to specifically do so, however, the quest says that upgrading should complete the task. Any ideas on how to move past this? My sims were already at level 7 for handiness when this quest started. Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted TitleBlast from the past: Blocked progress as shards are split between multiple Sims
I started playing this in one save and it wouldn’t let me complete it in that one. So I had to then complete it in another save, but my other save had two shards. This save only has one now I don’t know how I’m supposed to complete it without all the shards. My other, Sim is also the one that met Emmett. So now I don’t know where I’m supposed to find him. I think I ruined the event for myself. Not sure what to do. Please help. (I have seen comments mentioning buying more from the mail box but I do not have that option) Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted TitleBlast From The Past: Option to show shard of time missing
hey hope you can help me. I play on Windows PC if it matters I am stuck on week 2 of the event. I started the event with 1 household and created another and then added it from the gallery. I connected the new household to Emit by putting them all on 1 lot and getting them to talk. I collected the shards and I got to the point of "show Emit shards of time". I don't have that interaction no matter how many times I re-enter the game or reset either my Sim or Emit. They have like 70% friendship. I have no mods and all packs are legit and so is the base game. what do I do? did anyone experience the same issue?
