Bug - Marrying Emit - Lot's of glitches, but this last may have broken my save!
Playing on a Mac running Sequoia 15.3.1, just downloaded the update that dropped today (Feb 25). So I have one family I have been using for all the new sign in challenges and I remembered that there is a special trait kids born from Father Winter could have, wondered if Emit's kids would have any interesting trait and if he could be married and brought into household. The whole "romance" was glitchy, with some options appearing and then vanishing, and then Emit refusing any romantic interactions despite having a quarter full pink romance meter. Then I got beguiling for the sim and suddenly he accepted romantic interactions. Perfect. Except that any time the sims went on a date (he invited him once, he invited her once) the date ended abruptly after about a minute. Also he kept just abruptly leaving with no apparent reason whenever he was visiting. Finally got him to agree to a proposal. Tried to do the custom wedding. The screen to set it up popped up but the categories were blank. Wish I had thought to screen shot it. When it had that issue, I saved off, closed out and came back in. Same issue. So I did the regular wedding. All the sims arrived. I sent my sim to kiss Emit. He didn't allow it and just walked off the lot. I then got stuck in the wedding. I hit end early and it said that I got a bronze medal, but the event was still going. My sim couldn't leave to go to college. I quit out to reload... but unfortunately my last save was during the wedding. So I am still trapped. I have spent a lot of time on this family, I don't want to lose them. Please help!
Shards for "Blast from the Past" tied to account
I was able to work through this but I wanted to point out that it can be an issue when items from the events are tied to the save file the event was started with. For instance, the Shards from this challenge cannot reappear after being found. My daughter plays Sims sometimes as well, and she has a habit of deleting her save files (which is BANANAS to me, but there is no convincing a 10 year old how to game). I changed save files to continue the event, and realized it was not possible to continue the event on my main save because that person did not get the Shards. So this is more of a question/ suggestion: If there is specific items tied to an event, when a new file activates that event previous mandatory items other files have gathered should autopopulate the file that is being played, otherwise issues can happen (such as gathering the metal on one file and the shards in another). No shade though, I seriously love these events and I think they are brilliant. Good work Sims team!
Birthday rewards event breaks after 30 minutes of gameplay
After 30 minutes of gameplay, the rewards event task window disappears. No tasks are shown. This has been going on for three weeks, ever since the event started. The previous event had a similar problem. And the reaper’s reward event broke in the middle and I was never able to complete it. Please stop doing these events if EA can’t do them without breaking the game. I am on PlayStation five no mods ever.
Blast from the Past: Surprise birthday cake shows wrong servings number
I placed the Surprise Birthday Cake item, and when i hovered over it, it showed me that there were 12 servings available. But when i had a sim grab a slide, the number went down to 4.27 servings, and in total it ended up having only 6 servings Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title
Blast From the Past: Necklace looks flat with certain outfits
Not sure if anyone else is having this problem or if it's something with a mod causing it, but if I use the blast from the past necklace with certain outfits and shirts, including the blast from the past outfit, the necklace appears more 2d than 3d. There are a number of clothing items it does this with that I can't list them all here, but I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing this happening. So, I'm on PSN. No mods, nothing extra, all vanilla gameplay. I've been doing the event since it started, week by week, and just now I seemed to have completed week four, but for some reason I'm seven event rewards shy of the end. There are no further quests, and my progress is halted right before the party cake. I don't know what to do, or why it happened, or what's going on, but I can tell you I'm frustrated. I'm trying to study a historical display at the museum for the event and no matter what I click all I get is view with Emits picture on it. I've tried all my museums. I even took out my mods and repaired the game and still the same thing. Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title
Blast from the Past: Build the Time Travel Component not possible in apartments
I have all the required items in my inventory and handiness and logic at level 2, but there is no interaction on the shards of time except "Add to Favorites". Restarting the game didn't help. EDIT I wondered whether it was the issue that my Sim was living in a San Myshuno apartment. After moving him to a residential the interaction appeared as expected...
