Hippy Jumps missing CRUCIAL ELEMENT since S4
Devs, Since Season 4 has dropped there has been an unwanted change that has happened regarding Hippy Jumps. Before Season 4 I was able to Hippy Jump and tap the "Kick" button (B) quickly and this would stop my character above the board, and my board would go out in front of me without me on it. I used to use this to send my board onto low rails off staircases, send the board up ramps alone and do a flip and get back on. I do a lot of crazy hippy jump parkour, as I like to call it, and Season 4 has taken literally HALF of my creativity away. This was becoming my SKATE. identity. I'm most known for my wall runs and getting back on the board but the hippy jump board send off a ledge onto a rail and then jumping on the board and grinding the rail was SO SICKKKKKKK. Please consider bringing this back it feels so dead without it. Now, THE ONLY WAY to even remotely stay behind the board instead of above it is to KICK and hold it, and hold backwards at the same time but it just looks terrible, is soooooo slow, and compared to the prior method it's not going to work for tricks or clips. I have spent hours and hours perfecting this technique and now it's just GONE :(Tasks with friends
Can y'all stop giving out task/challenges that require friends and other skaters nearby? It's lame and uncalled for. I'd rather just do what I need to do alone when I play this. I don't have the time play with friends and i don't feel like making new ones. The northstar mission is good example. I shouldn't have to bug anyone just to get a mission objective done. Especially an objective with content roadblocked behind it.Fire the THPS person!
i'm serious as a heart attack. today was the first time I actually had a bad experience playing skate. i HATE (loathe despise detest) relying on another person to play my game. I can skip this weekend because unless a FRIEND gets on and is willing to do ONE GATEKEEPER MISSION with me, i'm stuck. Throwdowns! please relieve whoever came up with this trash THPS concept. send them back to Activision. they are ruining this game. probably the same doofus who wanted all the climbing. you lock missions behind content that's lame. Skate doesn't need button mash/stick jiggling gameplay, at all. the game should straight up close for 30 minutes as a PENALTY for that. i don't play that way, IRL no one skates that way, and that's the only way to succeed. Instead of playing, i'm here writing this. i hate when a game i like inserts so much jank, that i have to stop playing and send angry feedback to a developer i'm trying to supportDeleting mega ramps
Why would you even do that. Just because a simple glitch? thats harmless and fun? We want all the gaps you deleted especially the one on the tallest building. Now we spend 10-15 minutes climbing a builfing just to realize the ramp is gone..?! Now all these buildings are useless Better off delete the grox mega ramp because theres also a glitch on that that can get your line up to 500 thousand and simply 15 seconds. You simply ruibed the game for the more og players.(IDEAS) ~400hrs playing SKATE.
IDEAS: Backpacks, bags, or accessories. A lot of the time a skater needs to leave the house prepared. You need to bring drinks, food, money, music, tools, wax, parts, etc. Most skaters keep this stuff in their car but since we don't have cars I want a backpack. Branded backpacks, bags, etc? You could literally sell a Loui Vouiton bag to the girl skaters and sell Nike, Addidas, HUF, etc for the men. 2. Piercings Self explanatory. (ears, facial, multi, lip, eyebrow, dermals, etc.) 3. Tattoo rework. I know you guys just brought them to the game and I love them. I personally wear the largest and most vibrant versions of the Stacked Frogs and the Leopard on my arms. I really think we need to rethink how we applied Tattoos because if you think about it, we need more mappable tattoos for each limb. Please allow like 4-5 per limb because some people have a lot of tattoos like myself and would really enjoy placing others elsewhere. Plus the more tattoos we can wear the more we buy. ;) 4. Board shapes. This was teased about for Season 3 and I haven't heard much since. I would love to see old school boards, newer shapes, widths, etc. 5. Grabs while powersliding. We just need an animation for grabbing the board mid powerslide maybe have the option to drag your hand too and touch the ground? Would make for a good feeling being able to choose just a grab slide or a grab slide touch. 6. Freestyle moves. I was skating and trying to think how we could apply freestyle animations to a skater that's already riding the board. When riding the board regularly, if you press the right bumper nothing really happens. We could turn the right bumper into a button you can hold, using the left and right sticks for alternate moves, you could then hold the bumper and use the sticks to adjust your skater. I'm imagining like longboard aura farming, walk the dog, etc. This could really elevate the feel SKATE already has and I am jonesing to be like Andy Anderson. 7. Hippy Jumps (IMPORTANT!!!!) Season 4 has blundered my hippy jumps by accident. Something has changed and now when I hippy jump off my board and press B (kick) quickly, my board no longer continues forward and I don't stay in place anymore like we used to. Now, instead of the prior interaction (staying behind as the board goes forward) you just keep going with the board and I have been trying to find a new way to launch the board ahead of me and cannot figure out a new way. ** HIPPY JUMP EXPANSION: I would love to see a few hippy jump improvements and these are my ideas: I am the sole creator of the hastag "#hippyjumpparkour" on TikTok. I do some crazy stuff not gonna' lie. I would love to see hippy jumps be possible during manuals or maybe during shuvits too. Why I want the hippy jumps during manuals and shuvits is because I'm imagining being able to manual\shuvit right before a hippy jump allowing me to enter my hippyjumpparkour in different ways. I want there to be more bounce on the board as it hits things head on like a real wooden board would do, if you imagine doing a shuv it and kind of shooting the board forwards with your back foot (board goes spinning forwards) you could then bounce it off obstacles like poles or ledges or walls and get back on it. Same thing for manuals, sending the board forward in a manual (manual, hippy jump input, press kick button quickly) and since the manual was initiated first, the hippy jump would happen and your board would ride on its back trucks for a few feet before tipping forward? this would help tip the board upwards for sending it off a staircase onto a handrail. I seriously need the hippy jump quick kick board send back though. Do not overlook this one please. 8. Casper slides, Primo slides, Pogo Just imagine 4 skaters pogo-ing down the street. Case closed. 10. Ability to throw board out in front of you. Didn't the older games have this? We should fr bring this back because it'd be so fun for throwing it on a rail or whatever. That's all I can think of for now. Just wanted to say finger flips are sick, and the new clothing you guys have made recently is some of the best work I've seen yet. The mission challenges aren't displayed here) and point out if there is an issue with it. The advantage is to list everything in one post and communicate on every challenge to seek help if needed. If there is workaround on bugged mission, a link will be provided into the arrays. Note : Done for challenge in rotation Don't be shy, I stated some challenge as "No issue" but i'm sure there is some. I reaplayed almost every challenge listed and so far I'm fine with what I wrote. Issue type First thing first, I will explain below what I meant in the "Issue type" column as it cannot be fully understandable : Grind issue : It implies that the rail or grindable surface is bugged or the physics do not behave as intended. Some rail have the bad habits to make turn your character on itself and miss your line/trick. Boundary(ies) : It means that on the current challenge, when you do your tricks correctfully, the challenge doesn't validate the trick(s)/objective(s). But it does if you are in the said boundaries (aka the yellow-orange-ish area). Challenge design : The challenge works but some objective are way too long or miscalculated. Or the challenge tell you to perform some tricks but validates it only in certain order. Skill issue : The community has to be better. The challenge is not that hard. Hippy jump : Hippy jump is either bugged because it cannot pass under the obstacle or bugged due to boundary issue. Physics issue : Pretty straightforward, the physics is incoherent with how it should behave For other type, they are mostly self-explainatory.
