[CONFIRMED BUG] Severe FPS Drops & CPU Bottleneck Since Season 27
Hello, I am creating this report to detail a severe performance regression introduced with the Season 27 update. My game has gone from running perfectly to being nearly unplayable due to massive FPS drops. I attached a video explain the problem. The Problem: Before Season 27: Stable 144 FPS in all scenarios. After Season 27: Before jump from plane: 30-40 FPS In-Game Fights: 80-90 FPS with stutters Key Finding: Monitoring shows a severe CPU bottleneck. My CPU usage is consistently at 80-100% while my GPU usage is significantly lower (around 30-50%). This imbalance is the direct cause of the FPS drops and did not exist before the update. My System Specifications: Operating System: Windows 10 Pro CPU: Intel Core i5-10400F GPU: [Your Exact GPU Model, e.g., NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti] RAM: 16 GB Storage: SSD GPU Driver Version: 552.44 Exhaustive Troubleshooting Performed: I have performed every conceivable troubleshooting step to rule out my own hardware and software. This includes: Complete Game Reinstalls: Tried on both Steam and the EA App with no difference. Clean GPU Driver Installation: Used DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in Safe Mode to perform a clean install of the latest NVIDIA drivers. BIOS Update: Updated my motherboard BIOS to the latest version. In-Game Settings: Tested every possible setting combination from all Low to my original competitive settings. Windows and NVIDIA Optimizations: Adjusted power plans, NVIDIA Control Panel settings, disabled full-screen optimizations, etc. Cache Clearing: Cleared NVIDIA shader cache and the in-game shader cache. Background Processes: Ensured no conflicting background applications were running. Network Diagnostics: (My previously high ping issue resolved itself, confirming server-side problems). Conclusion: The fact that this issue: Started exactly with the Season 27 update. Persists across different game clients (Steam and EA App). Survives a complete driver and OS-level cleansing (DDU). Manifests as a new, severe CPU bottleneck... ...proves conclusively that this is a game-side optimization bug introduced in Season 27. I urge the development team to investigate the increased CPU overhead in the game's engine. This is not an isolated incident but a widespread problem affecting many players with similar hardware. Thank you for your time and attention.Solved2.6KViews9likes55CommentsLow Fps
I am experiencing significant FPS drops in Apex Legends. Even after reinstalling drivers and performing a clean installation of Windows, the issue persists. I have attached my system information in the provided file and screenshots that confirm the low FPS. Despite having a AMD Radeon RX 6600 and an Intel i3-12100F processor, FPS drops significantly during gameplay, especially on the map, with FPS dropping to as low as 40 FPS, whereas it performs fine in the training area (around 144 FPS). I have already tried: Reinstalling drivers Reinstalling Windows Adjusting game settings and lowering graphical quality However, none of these solutions have resolved the issue. I would appreciate any help or advice on what could be causing these performance drops and how to resolve them.53Views0likes1CommentEA app DECEMBER 2025 update bugged game with lag like stuttering.
I updated the EA app and as soon as a did it made my game stutter and lag. It is like every 20 frames it skips frames. So constant stuttering. When i did the update it was giving errors and not closing app as well. Same when i exited the game, it says still in game but no game info on task manager to shut down. I need to go to task manager and end task for EA app to get the game to start. I tried to repair the game. Clear the EA app Cache. Uninstalled the app and the game and reinstalled and same issue throughout past 3 days. Apex is the only EA game i play but not unplayable. I also tried all sorts of other things like EA overlay and window change and all sorts of setting changes. EA App somehow messed up the game. Only game i play from EA but all other games on my PC work fine but Apex is stuttering and unplayable.36Views0likes1CommentExaggerated drop in game volume after upgrading from Windows 10 to 11
Basically i recently upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11, and the game volume has become unplayable. The sound volume has been lowered drastically, and I can't play the game. The only change I made was upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11... I spent over an hour talking to support people and after following all the steps they suggested, nothing solved the problem... With these sound problems, the game is completely unplayable... and I don't know what to do anymore.16Views0likes0CommentsCant equip costemetics bug
Basically I cant equip any cosmetics that I have un locked like skins, gun skins, banner, etc... basically things that you need to hit the "equip" button for. All the items I am trying to equip I am 100% sure I own so im not sure why this bug is happening. When I want to equip something the button is grey not orange like it normally is and when i hover my mouse over the button it turns orange for a second but then goes grey and when I click equip nothing happens please fix this EA. (Im playing on steam btw)7Views0likes0CommentsRuby joules texture error
Hi, ive been trying to get the attention of an apex team member so i can bring to attention a texture error in the ruby joules wattson skin. The eyes are typically red and glowing, ive invested a lot of time in wattson and this is my favorite skin bc of its eyes. I believe during the engine update the skins’ eyes may have been overlooked and theyre now overlayed with wattsons natrural blue eyes. The red eyes built into the skin sometimes show through, during emotes and stuff, but i’d really appreciate getting me cute red eyes back. If possible could you slip the little eye fix into an upcoming update please <3?5Views1like1CommentWeird visual bug with shimmering animations
Has anyone had an issue like this? It's easiest to replicate with dummy spawn and despawn animations, but other effects also trigger it (Banga smoke, the electrified effect on bullets of Rampart's wall). It's most jarring with R99 and CAR ironsight since the dot turns into 3 and it looks really blurry. I am on Steam. I use AMD Image Sharpening and Anti Lag (I tried disabling both but nothing changed). I am running RX580, Ryzen 5 2600, 32GB and I have tried both Windows 10 and 11, no difference between them. These scope artefacts started happening when this season 25 dropped if I recall correctly. R5 Reloaded doesn't have any issues nor do any other games I play, only Apex. I've just reinstalled my OS couple of days ago and I tried running Apex with every single setting in both Windows and BIOS at default, and nothing changed. These shimmering animations break my crosshair and make it so hard to track enemies when they're a bit further. Btw for some reason TAA 'fixes' it, I can't play game with TAA enabled, no chance, but all of these animations work correctly with it enabled. On top of all default settings I tried the driver from 2022 and the latest one 25.8.1, no difference between them either.93Views2likes4Comments
