Since the last EAC update in September I have been unable to play due to issues with my Thunderbolt Audio Interface. I have a Presonus Quantum 2626 that I have been using for 4 years and never had an issue with Apex. At this point I have narrowed it down to The Thunderbolt interface specifically with Apex. This issue is not present for any other game or system on my PC. I have done everything from a fresh Windows 11 install to Bios Updates and more. It seems that when the game is running there must be a hook running through the kernel system slower than the Thunderbolt clock speed and causing the interface to crash then the game locks up until the interface is power-cycled. It takes less than 5 minutes to replicate the issue repeatedly. If I disconnect my interface and purely use Windows Audio from the headphone jack the issue disappears but I don't think this should be the solution as I have played Apex with this exact setup for years. My game has gone from running perfectly to being nearly unplayable due to massive FPS drops. I attached a video explain the problem. The Problem: Before Season 27: Stable 144 FPS in all scenarios. After Season 27: Before jump from plane: 30-40 FPS In-Game Fights: 80-90 FPS with stutters Key Finding: Monitoring shows a severe CPU bottleneck. My CPU usage is consistently at 80-100% while my GPU usage is significantly lower (around 30-50%). This imbalance is the direct cause of the FPS drops and did not exist before the update. My System Specifications: Operating System: Windows 10 Pro CPU: Intel Core i5-10400F GPU: [Your Exact GPU Model, e.g., NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti] RAM: 16 GB Storage: SSD GPU Driver Version: 552.44 Exhaustive Troubleshooting Performed: I have performed every conceivable troubleshooting step to rule out my own hardware and software. This includes: Complete Game Reinstalls: Tried on both Steam and the EA App with no difference. Clean GPU Driver Installation: Used DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in Safe Mode to perform a clean install of the latest NVIDIA drivers. BIOS Update: Updated my motherboard BIOS to the latest version. In-Game Settings: Tested every possible setting combination from all Low to my original competitive settings. When I first looked into it, it said that an email would arrive within 5 to 10 days, but no matter how long I waited, it never came. I also sent a message to their support, but there was no reply, so I got worried and sent the same message several times. I swapped my change weapon/holster weapons bind to the touchpad button on the DS4 controller a long time ago with no issues. When the new season started in September of 2025, the bind still changes weapons fine, but when I hold it down to try to holster my weapons, it instead pops the chat box up in game. I tested it with different binds. It doesn't matter what it is, when held down it does the same thing with the chat box coming up instead. Please fix this issue.
