Lagging and stuttering game performance when using screens in-game
This thread is specifically for players using a Mac with M4 chip who have noticed a significant drop in game performance since patching in September 2025 as there has been a small increase in users reporting this recently. Edit 13.01.2026 - This appears to be the lagging caused by using in-game screens, merged and edited title and description. Relevant to all Macs, not just M4. If you are experiencing laggy gameplay, stuttering, freezing, low fps when using any type of screen in-game test a clean game first before posting here to discount existing user data interference. Please post your symptoms and your Mac hardware and operating system. Click on the Apple in the top left corner of your Desktop then About This Mac. Then, click on More Info... which will open System Settings. Scroll down to the bottom and click on System Report. We need the hardware overview and the Graphics/Display overview. All the info required is shown using a red arrow in the below screenshots. are you using an external display? If so what is the size and resolution? does this happen in windowed and fullscreen mode or just one?
New Season 2 Update broke Tank zoom.
Since the update the aim sensitivity when zoomed in has been halved. The new settings have no effect on it. I can change the vehicle aim sensitivity for 3rd person and for zoomed in at the same time, but not individually, even though thats exactly what these new settings imply to do. The remote controlled gun (MG Turret) and other vehicles like the Sliders gun are not affected. Only the MBT and IFV. I restarted the game and joined several different matches to test this, the new settings seem to have no effect. Also the Settings "Vehicle Mouse Aim Sensitivity" seems to be broken. It appears twice, once in the "Mouse and Keyboard" settings tab, and once under the "Vehicle Settings -> Aim" Subsection. But the one in the subsection always has exactly half the value of the one in the "Keyboard and Mouse" menu - changing one changes the other exactly by a factor of 2. This also reflects the halfed zoomed in aiming sensitivity. The "Zoom Sensitivy Coefficient" does also absolutely nothing. Either one of the settings is mislabed, or its writing a wrong setting internaly. Either way, after 30 minutes in the settings menu I cannot fix it and confirmed it to be a bug. I did try and change the vehicle individual settings, turned on and off the uniform aiming, everything. Im on PC (Windows 10) using the Steam version. Game Cheats Aren't Working Since Update!
After the latest update, the cheat BB.ShowHiddenObjects doesn't work anymore. With BB.ShowLiveEditObjects and then doing debug in the search, then all that would have been revealed by BB.ShowHiddenObjects then comes up. But it used to be that you had to punch in BB.ShowHiddenObjects to get BB.ShowLiveEditObjects to work, now it's like its the other way around or something. But I shouldn't have to use debug for the BB.ShowHiddenObjects cheat to work. I am really getting tired of The Sims 4 team putting in big changes like this, without bothering to include it in the list of changes, if that is what this is and not just a new bug! I mean I just bought the new pack with the bundle, and have been having trouble with the EA app for more then a week now, where today it wasn't even showing my The Sims 4 or my The Sim 3 games in my library. I had to restart the app to get it to show them, when I had already had to restart it to begin with. EA/Maxis and the whole The Sims 4 is utter mess! Oh and I also removed my mods to see if it had anything to do with them, but nope, still can't use the cheat. But then mods wouldn't have anything to do with the app not working.Help please
So yesterday I was updating TS4 and after the update, I tried to play but it kept saying "Unable to start Missing game files" I checked my folder and it seemed normal, other than the fact that I had to move my mods to a USB drive to have the game update for storage, but I didn't think much of it till I tried to play again except with the mods, it said the same thing so I went online and tried to see how to fix it but nothing worked, so I finally decided to make this post and hoping I could get some help with this problem (prob will check for a response tomorrow cause I'll be out)
Neighborhoods back to default - Apartments dissapear!
Since last update (feb 2026), all my neighborhoods went back to default when loading the map. Once I open a lot (any lot), it's completely empty! I can try to rebuild or download them again, but that takes centuries! Same in San Myshuno; the map itself looks fine, but when trying to load an apartment, same thing happens. The lot is just grass and downloading or rebuilding an apartment is impossible. The world is unplayable! My sims families are fine and are still where I left them, they just don't have their home anymore. Please help
