Sims 4 Infinite Loading Screen November 2024
Hi everyone, I'm running into an issue when I try to load my most recent save in The Sims 4. The game launches fine from the EA app, but when I click the Resume button to go back into my most recently accessed save file/household, I get stuck on an infinite loading screen. As a troubleshooting step, I moved the Sims 4 folder from my Electronic Arts folder to my desktop and was able to launch a new game successfully. However, I’d really like to get back to my established save, as I've been building and playing in these worlds for generations and have put a lot of work into customizing my Sims and their lots. I also don’t use any CC or mods, so those aren’t causing the issue. Any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!988Views4likes10CommentsGame keeps crashing (different occasions)
Hello everyone! :) sadly my Game is kind of unplayable for more than a week now. First it was crashing a lot when traveling or placing lots (when i wanted to travel, it went on the loadingsscreen and then just crashed after a few seconds; when placing lots, it was randomly, sometimes after 1 , other times i could place 4-5) until it didnt even start anymore (i got stuck on the loadingscreen after the white SIMS/EA Screen). I have tried vanilla testing (crashing sill happened here as well) , folder refresh, uninstalled the game and the app. After the folder refresh/game repair, it worked for a little while. So slowly I redid all my mods (checked exactly when the release/update has been etc). It worked for a little, a few hours. After that, there was another issue: i wanted to change my sims (mother & child) used: cas.fulleditmode and went into CAS (with MCC), changing them wasnt an issue, when i safed and wanted to go back into the game, i got into the loadingscreen for a few seconds and it crashed again. I have tried going into cas from the world to change househould, the same happened (with and without "cas.fulleditmode, with and without MCC). After it happened a few times again, my game wouldnt load/start at all anymore (crashed on the blue loading again). Soooo I did all the steps again, re-installed, repaired, vanilla etc. now i got a few mods back bit by bit (again) and tested after almost every mod/cc i added, game loads again, but the crash after editing in CAS still happens. I am super frustrated with it, especially after trying so many different things. On top of the above mentioned things I have also tried: I tried graphics card changes (updated drivers, tried to run it from NVIDIA and Intel, firewall/defender check ups (if anything might block it), starting in dx9 version.. I have been reading and searching in the forum and almost tried everything that I have found. I really would appreciate any kind of ideas/help!My Sims game is very laggy after installing the game again.
Hello, my Sims game is very laggy after reinstalling the game after not being able to play the game due to an error code that happened saying my drivers could not run the game. To help this issue, I then moved my Sims game off of my hard drive back to my C: drive. After reinstalling the sims, it finally worked, and I was able to play again, so I thought. The game became very laggy. I do play with mods, so I removed them, and it was still laggy. I've tried multiple solutions, but nothing is working out. Please help me if you can.Solved71Views0likes4CommentsInfinite saving/loading screens
I originally started having this issue after the September update and saw other people were having the same issue and followed all the advice given. updated all mods removed all CC started a new save (with no CC) removed off-the-grid lot types switched back to DX9 Unfortunately, none of these worked so I decided to wait until the next patch and try again. After the October patch, I updated everything and it's still happening. Whether I'm loading/travelling with a family, exiting CAS, or saving when building on a community lot. I'm completely out of ideas of what I can do at this point; I have plenty of space on my PC and while loading can be slow sometimes, I know that's because I have quite a few packs and CC and I've never minded. But the infinite screens are getting too much, I can't play the game at all without running in to one and I end up losing any progress I've made. Really hoping someone can help or this bug can be lessened at least in the next update. 🤞757Views3likes12CommentsSims 4 Won't Load; Cannot Get Past Loading Screen
Ever since the latest game update I am unable to get past the loading screen on Sims 4. I do generally play with mods, but have tried to repair the game / remove all mods and play from a completely new save, and I still cannot get past the loading screen. I have lost three years of gameplay, because of this issue. This never used to be an issue until we were all moved to playing via the app and not disc. I play on mac so have attached a system report.Game lags badly for the first time ever since latest patch
My game lags badly, making it unplayable. Removing my sims 4 folder and starting clean makes no difference. It still keeps lagging. I've set it to lowest settings and windowed mode and no change. This is really bad as I've been able to play just fine until latest patch. And yes, I use mods and such but even when all are out and it's clean, does it keep lagging. Please help. I cannot upgrade my PC for this. Desktop windows computer.149Views0likes12Comments
