[INFO] BF2042 Patch 8.8 (May 27) – Secure Boot Requirement for Supported Systems
With Update 8.8.0 on Battlefield 2042, we will require that Secure Boot be enabled for PC hardware that can support it. This will provide you with a higher standard of trust and safety while you play select EA titles. As cheat developers keep evolving their tactics, we're stepping up our game, too. To keep Battlefield 2042 fair and fun for everyone, we're strengthening our defences, especially against cheats that try to sneak in during the Windows boot process. This move supports our Positive Play commitment and helps ensure a level playing field for all players.If you attempt to load the game following Update 8.8.0 without Secure Boot enabled, but are on a piece of hardware that supports it, you will be prompted with a message stating that Secure Boot is required. Secure Boot is a feature available for Windows 11 and Windows 10 devices, and you can learn more about how to enable this functionality via our EA Help article here. (‼️At Your Own Risk‼️) How to Reset Secure Boot if Battlefield 2042 Does Not Recognise It Before you proceed, consult your motherboard manual for precise steps. BIOS/UEFI menus vary by manufacturer. EA is not responsible for any damage or loss of data. ‼️This is at your own risk.‼️ Incorrect changes to BIOS/UEFI can render your system unbootable. Verify that Secure Boot, not just UEFI boot, is required. Ensure your system boots properly with CSM (Compatibility Support Module) disabled. ‼️Consult your motherboard manual‼️ for precise steps. Steps to Reset Secure Boot Enter BIOS/UEFI Settings Restart your PC and press the designated key (usually DEL, F2, ESC) to enter BIOS/UEFI. Locate Secure Boot Settings Navigate to the Security or Boot tab. Assess the Current Secure Boot State If the Mode is User, you can usually enable Secure Boot directly. If the Mode is Setup, follow these steps: Disable Secure Boot (if it says Enabled). If it shows Standard, switch to Custom. Then switch back from Custom to Standard, and accept factory defaults. Enable Secure Boot. Optional: Reset Secure Boot Keys In some BIOS/UEFI versions, you can select Reset/Delete Secure Boot Keys under the Secure Boot settings. Save and Exit BIOS/UEFI Save your changes and restart your computer. Verify Secure Boot Status in Windows Press Windows + R, type msinfo32, and press Enter. In System Information, check the Secure Boot State field. If it says On, Secure Boot is enabled and recognised by Windows. If it says Off, revisit the BIOS to adjust settings. If it says Unsupported, your hardware may not support Secure Boot. Restart and Launch Battlefield 2042 Launch the game to check if Secure Boot is now recognised. my ps5 controller is the controls of an xbox and pc
so i cant even shoot or aim or do anything at all what i mean by that my ps5 contoller the shoot is the touch pad the gadget keys are x o triangle and square buttons the the d pad is the letah button L2 are my tactical the L1 is zoom R1 is lay down my my R2 is the camera moment button not only that i hit the reset button to default same thing again i have ea play pro i have never ran into such issue like this not to mention i played alot of BF not only on my ps5 but also on my pc ofc for the BF6 beta
Latest EA Anticheat is causing Blue Screens
EA Javelin Anticheat September 23rd Build is causing blue screen of death. I have tried every known workaround. Yes I enabled memory integrity, rolled back my graphics drivers, updated my bios/re-enabled secure boot, toggled all the overlays, repaired/verified all the installations, etc. Please post here if you are having the same issues or have yet another workaround
No stat progression towards T1 on anything
Hi, for the past 6+ months iv been playing and my stats on the PKP have not moved from 378, its the main gun im using with liz and falck. i don't know what the issue is but i am really getting tired of grinding out this game for no result. I have also emailed EA and they said to ask the community. Nice to know that they can be bothered looking into it. Aside from that, any help would be appreciated please. Would it have to do with the servers i am playing on?BF2042 "some"Game Server who got SFT issues
Server at screenshots got 24/7 SFT issues, since day 1 of this BF6 goodies event !! (FREEPASS) All that time none and nobody has done anything tho fix those problems. This is bad advertisment for BF6, cause those game srvers are probarly in issues to. I will not advice anyone to buy or pre order BF6. The maintenance and attention at those games and servers are minimal. No feedback from EA/DICE , just completely silenced !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Newest update 9.2.0 makes game lag horribly
bf2042 version 9.2.0 makes the game extremely laggy to the point its unplayable to the point I have to hit alt f4 the game ran flawlessly before this update so it’s going to be almost impossible to complete the challenges to unlock items on the free pass EA needs to send out a patch to fix this issue because I’ve turned down graphics settings and shut others off and my internet connection is perfectly good
Windows Update /Game does not lauch anymore/Important bug

Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: EAAntiCheatService The game bf2042.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0xC0000005 The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table Tried everything , Game reinstall ,ea app reinstall ,ea app cache clear ,anticheat reppair,reinstall etc, administrator priv , etc. If i unistall the windows update the game works fine . All my friends have the same problem!! Please fix. Thank you!
