ERS deploy multiple issues: workarounds
Multiple ERS issues making the game unplayable. Across all modes including breaking point, TT and ranked, with controller and wheel on PS5. All over span of 6ish hours with multiple console restarts. a.) ERS Stuck at 100% despite any effort to deploy battery (overtake button or changing deploy mode), when this happens the car gives 0 electrical output and as a result you race at 75% pace. Permitted output per lap or “green bar” doesn’t move, and still 100% however when overtake is pressed (and not engaged) the ERS mode does change to overtake and show red but of course doesn’t use any energy thus keeping battery at 100. b.)ERS misbehaving in manual mode; It seems this year there is a new harvesting indicator on the HUD. That is pretty’s cool, however at the moment my game is choosing to harvest down the main straight if I don’t have overtake button pushed. This is confusing as I thought I was in manual ERS mode and when tell the game when I wanted to harvest and that certainly wouldn’t be when 3 wide down imola pit straight. c.) Unique to time trial, and one of the reasons I think it’s a game side bug and not something on my side: very similar to Issue a.) however with no ERS to worry about in TT, the car is literally just 25% slower. Delta in the top right makes it pretty easy to tell. Car will max at 280 ish KPH and accelerate like a VW Bug. notes to help you help me: I’ve already uninstalled and reinstalled (to change gamma settings) I had the thought it could be that my wheel is connected via usb to console while also having a PS5 wireless controller connected under same profile, will test this. Calibrated wheel and pedals in settings in game, dead zones set to 1 on all, wheel is T300 with open wheel and the TLCM pedals Any other help is greatly appreciated as I’ve been grinding since 19’ on PS and the game is literally useless to play if I can’t tell it what to do. TLDR: ERS deploy bwoken. Make game Bwoken. Stupid. Help please. Sadness. Edit 5/31Can’t connect to multiplayer sessions.
Unable to connect to anything when it is multiplayer, have checked my connection to make sure it is not me. When I try to join two player career with a friend and multiplayer Grand Prix it just loads for a long time and then says failed to join session. One of my friends is having the same problem so it’s not just me.PS5 controller FFB is too low
As I already pointed it out during the beta testing period, controller's force feedback is ridiculously less communicative when going through corners. In a game like F1 25 where the braking phase is so crucial for gaining time you can't approach to braking and first turn in being completely "blind" under braking. The Ps5 pad on his top left zone near the left trigger doesn't give any vibration or responsiveness when applying pressure: this is resulting in 0 feeling when approaching to the curves and as a consequence, you don't feel when you're losing grip or locking up or those kind of things. It's not personal pad related, it's worinkg perfectly, it's game/software related. take inspiration from the dualshock ps4 for this kind of problem because it was nowhere near a problem on that controller. Just activate that kind of feeling and things will get way better.Add a setting for Debounce Time
Many racing wheels (and controllers even) will run into the issue of double inputs after wear and tear. This can be managed through a simple macro program, such as AutoHotkey, where you will make a simple macro that introduces a certain amount of sleep time, such as 100ms, after each press of a shifter. Fast double inputs are not possible during that period, circumventing the issue, while keeping the sleep period small enough that it won't interfere with regular fast shifting. However, the anti-cheat blocks ALL software like this. This results in a huge amount of players not being able to play the game properly when shift inputs get duplicated half the time. Going into a hard braking zone you find yourself suddenly on neutral or reverse instead of third gear. That is not playable. An easy fix to this issue would be to introduce a "Debounce time" option for shifting, which determines a certain time period that has to pass until another down/upshift input will be registered. This would be extremely easy to implement from coding perspective. Let the user set the time period themselves, or have several presets, like 50-100-150-200ms etc intervals. Please add this so I can play the game :)Podium Pass XP Boost/Double XP May Be Missing
I'm unsure if boosts are applying as it's hard for me to tell from the Eye Test if the number matches up with the progression bar, but I am concerned that XP from boosts are not applying to the Podium Pass. There was supposed to be Double XP during the early access period from the Iconic Edition as well as an additional XP boost besides. The image shows an example with 475 "Total Session XP" even though 475 is the base XP earned and there should be 713 added to this as well. This has been happening after every session. So far I've completed the Hamilton Challenge Career on Hard (and did well enough to get the trophy), the movie preview on Expert, up to the end of the first chapter of Braking Point 3 on Expert, and up to Miami Quali of the Lando Norris Challenge Career on Hard. Is the XP actually the correct amount and it's just a number glitch? Or is it the incorrect amount? If the latter, I hope the issue can be fixed and I hope I can be compensated for the XP I lost, either through having it added back, receiving a small amount of Pitcoin, or otherwise. Thanks!
