Kicked from Game for Poor Team Play
So I tried to play my first drop in game, took 2 tripping penalties and I was booted from the game for poor team play. Apparently my assist in the game meant nothing. I was looking forward to making up for my mistakes but instead the game decided I wasn't able to play anymore. Is this how it's going to be this year?
Team Builder in NHL 25
The addition of team builder to NHL 25 would be incredible. For many years, I have spent countless hours in the creation zone, creating hundreds of teams and thousands of players. Team Builder is far superior to the NHL creation zone. The creation zone has barely been updated since 2017 (maybe even longer?) and Team Builder would be a fantastic solution and a welcomed feature. This is something that benefits both online and offline players. Thanks EA.
EASHL player builds, what were you thinking?
Honestly, I am horrified at what you did with the builds, you have Wheels and Elite Edges, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Now you can lower or raise most of your stats by -10/+10 points, which means you have players zooming there with multiple critical values at 90+, so you can get speed 96 etc. The builds have almost always heavily favored speed, and I was hoping there would be some changes this time around. There sure were, but in the wrong direction...😅 how's one suppsed to defend against these guys with 90+ in speed, acceleration, agility, puck control, passing, deking etc. All in one build? And if you add Wheels & Elite edges to this, you can run circles around anyone. Is there a counter build that can combat these super-soldiers? I doubt it but time will tell. Any ideas, and I would really like to hear why the designers felt this was a good idea? Of course, it's early days, and things will be patched and sliders will be changed etc. But this isn't a good starting point I thinkHow to set Team colors and how to make Home and away jerseys
I have been able to work on the home jersey and I can't do the away jersey or atleast find were to do it. Also for team colors I can't find were to set that at so I can just apply team color instead of sitting there trying to rebuild jerseys.Get Rid of Elite Edges/Wheels in EASHL
I've owned every single EA NHL game. I still have my Sega and all of those original games going back to the NHLPA Hockey days. To say I'm a devoted fan, and sometimes an apologist to this franchise, is an understatement. I lead by saying this because I'm not some sweaty, whiny kid who can't stand losing. I just want to enjoy playing hockey (particularly EASHL with my beer drinking buddies). Bringing back Elite Edges and Wheels has largely ruined EASHL. EVERYONE is now making super fast small players, turning the game back into a track meet, and it's simply becoming who can do the nearly automatic "forehand-backhand deke" goal the most. Tons of new goalie animations and yet they still can't simply hold the post/cover the short side on the same move, over and over. 25 had its issues but it forced teams to play way more as a unit with a purpose to be successful. It took a stronger unit to win. Now, 26 is forcing defensemen to use either EE or Wheels, which limits the depth of cool builds you can create because 1 of the 3 slots has to be dedicated to EE or Wheels. EE and Wheels was an obvious problem the devs and EA recognized in the past and wisely removed from the game. Bringing them back has ruined the EASHL experience. Our club has been together over 10 years. We win at about a 75% rate. This isn't a win/ loss issue. It's an immersion and fun issue. It's a replayability issue. Regardless of our usual success and loyalty to playing over the years, no one wants to continue to play this track meet, and slow "menu simulator", where locker rooms freeze and players get dropped left and right. Overall, just very disappointed. Remove Elite Edge and Wheels from competitive EASHL.
Goalie Review NHL 25
I want to start by saying I have been a goalie in chel since around 2015, have a couple thousand games, and around a high 7, low 8 hundred save %. Being experienced enough in this category I thought I would bring to light key issues surrounding goalies. 1: Overall save ability is extremely weak, I am being beat cleanly in locations where I have allocated most of my attritutes, and SHOULD be making saves. Goalies feel way to much like swiss cheese right now, despite being in proper position (and the game emphasizing this through the on-ice feedback) I am being beat way too frequently, so much so that I feel absolutely zero reward for playing positionally sound, which was a key selling point. 2: Goalies are bobbling pucks/hitting pucks into their own net way too much. This is an issue that has been plaguing goalies for many years, in around 4-5 games, I had knocked in a goal after the puck had hit me, and my goalie overreacted and the knocked it in to my own net. I understand that this happen on occasion, but the rate of this is simply way too high. And yes I have my rebound control stat as high as I can and with the extra +2. This is also an issue specifically on the high blocker (yes I have a 93ovr high blocker) where your player will seemingly swat the puck down into the net resulting in an own goal. This has also been an issue for a couple years now. Finally, I play nhl because I LIKE to play goalie, I do not like, however, when a supposed "top tier" nhl goalie is scoring on himself every game and looking like my sunday beer league goalie. This games purpose is to mimic the unattainable, the high level elite plays that we cannot do, yet I feel as though I could be making these saves in real life with little effort that my supposed elite goalie cannot.
