FC26 Ultimate edition not launching on XBOX Series X
This is my story from last week with EA and Xbox. Normally I should have fun playing a new game but instead I am chatting all day without a solution... Problem:from 18/09/2025 I have a copy of FC26 Ultimate on Xbox Series X and wanted to play as of september 19. I can not acces the game for several days now. Game was installed succesfully but when I start the game I first have the FC26 startup screen and afterwards I am directly ejected to the XBOX home menu. I had a chat with Xbox person who guided me to a lot of steps to see if I own the game, did a full console reset and reinstalled the game. All these steps where unsuccesfull. EA response 26/09/2025 I understand your frustration with this ongoing Xbox issue. Hello, I pre-ordered this game like every year. I want to play it on XBOX Series X, but unfortunately, it crashes every time after the Screen with FC26. I tried evry method that are in this forum discussion, but unfortunately, the same comportment. I reisnstalled the game, reset the console.... nothing. I am really frustrated about this situation, and dissapointed about the EA. I saw until now game with bugs, but not like this one, to not to be able to run. I still lost 2 days of playing this game. Over a month since release of the game and no updates and no action has been taken to fix the ping and latency/jitter issues . Thousand of players in the South Africa region are experiencing terrible game conditions and EA has not done anything to fix it . I have been disconnected straight after kick off on all 5 attempts on the season 2 world tour cup on UT. I have tried other modes on UT and all good but just this cup is bugged . used all 5 entries and haven’t been able to play a single game without disconnecting straight after kick off. After 2 entries in ultimate gauntlet 3 during my next entry where I won game 1, lost game 2 the round 3 game would not progress regardless of if I won the game or lost. During my 3rd round game I would get disconnected during the game and returned to the matchmaking screen where I could play round 3 again as if the game was never played. However, even if I won the match and completed it / forced a quit from my opponent. The game would not count and kick me out of ultimate team completely where I would have to load back in again. This started on the 30th October. The issue remained when I attempted the same mode on the 31st. Other modes such as squad battles were working normally. On November 1st, the issue continued so I decided to go into a gauntlet round match and quit the game by closing application. The hope was that this would end my current gauntlet entry and allow me to start a new one. As I reloaded the game I found I could not even load into Ultimate team completely. If I tried I would receive the error message 'Connecting to ultimate team is not possible at the moment. You will now be returned to the main menu'. This error message appeared all day on November 1st (and still as of now) even after sharing my complaints to EA through an online chat and forums (where I found others with the same issue) EA have given no response or solution about this case. An online EA agent suggested it to be my system software or ISP issue. However, I cleared my PS5 console cache, rebuilt the database and attempted to load into UT using my phones hotspot. None of these steps solved the issue. I have also deleted and reinstalled the FC 26 game on my PS5 which also did not solve anything. I used my second account and loaded UT on FC 26 and this was successful. The second account had no team created until today. Also the second account is on the same console as the account I can’t load UT on. This confirms the problem to be an EA account issue and not an internet or software issue of the console. Another thing to note is that after the failed login to UT. I am unable to open the companion or web app as both claim I am signed in on another device even though this is not the case. After 3 hours the companion app does allow me to log back in which I discovered late evening of November 1st after just waiting. This bug has caused me to miss key SBC’s for the Lewis Skelly objective and also meant I was unable to continue playing the gauntlet or squad battles modes over Saturday. This is no fault of my own and EA must make an effort to compensate players who could not do SBC’s or earn rewards in gauntlet, squad battles, champions, rivals games due to being locked out of UT mode. Getting the same issue as others — every time I try to load into a Division Rivals match, it shows “Arsenal vs Arsenal” before the kickoff screen and then instantly disconnects. Internet connection is fine and no other issues at home. Hi i bought the game on the 17th of September and have been enjoying the game play i put 12000 fifa points on and i had a really nice team.i have then loaded up about 10 minutes ago and half of my team has gone and they are no where to be seen!! Im on Xbox and even tho the ping of the lobby is fine ive noticed more weird disconnects and delays lately and its usually happening against pc/ps5 players I have a couple of fluid games where my player respond quickly but at times i have games where my very agile players move like trucks it doesnt make sense.. Same goes for Ai positioning, at times its good but then its suddenly so bad and no matter the changes i make it doesnt fix it and YES i do manual call for runs and stuff like contain+pressure etc and how they move on contain doesnt make sense to me aswell tbh at times... Especially against 4-5-1 formations or others where they just park the buss and wait for counters...i cant play well against those at the best of times (i find it very borring to play against) but when there is some weird delay its absolutely hopeless and the opponent doesnt seem to have any delay at all.. I checked my connection and that is just not the issue. These games are basicly the same the higher the division i get... people just wait and turn around and see where the Ai makes a weird positioning mistake and when i attack they just choose a cdm or a CB and hold contain and i lose the ball because my players dont position themselves smartly at all,, your so depended on ur own input i feel like and i can only call 1 at a time for a pass or run... and the opponent just closes in on my with ease.. im not sure what im doing wrong anymore i tried to find tips and tricks, I can't blame the game for all the **bleep** that happens,right? I tried Lb switching and right stick switching but it doesnt feel very good both of them.. i prefer lb anyways but when i try to right switch to my back line it can't and goes to another or just doesnt respond at al its very confusing... With corners for example it should auto switch in my opinion to the player thats closest where the ball will land.. I understand this game is more manual focussed but when i try t switch to the right player myself it just doesnt let me... Winning the duel if it does succeed is hopeless most of the times aswell even tho my player is super strong and a arial fortress.. its a good thing headers/volleys are absolute dogg*t right now otherwise i would have gotten goal against goal... me personnaly stoped using crosses because of the bad headers etc... wich is stupid tbh because stuff like that is a big part of football.. Also if i try to cross a ball no matter how hard i press it goos so slow.. Im kinda in between.. i like the game beeing more manual but its at times a bit to manual for me, its probbaly part a skill issue aswell i can't deny it but i just don't understand that the Ai defensive and on attack can't positioning themselve properly. unless u use certain very good players who have a lot of playstyles... Also when u call for a run they just run straight forward a lot of the times and then bump against a defender or run offside.. i kinda would prefer they move a bit smarter and slow themselfs down and move a bit to the side or inside, same goes for calling support.. it just looks very unrealistic/bad too me The last thing is that the passing is soo **bleep** bad at times... pff that frustrates me the most tbh but not only me luckily,, i hope that gets improved...
