Why doesn't skate have a day and night cycle?
So last month, I just realized, "Skate 4 doesn't have a day and night cycle" So I have 3 questions: Do you want a day and night cycle? Because I do. Why doesn't skate 4 have a day and night cycle? And Why do you want a day and night cycle? Ok thanks, bye.9Views0likes0CommentsBring back the "Skate 2" Online Servers

After launching SKATE, the message “Error Code 852146987: Unable to connect to EA Services” appears. After dismissing it and pressing Start again, “Error Code 3308673633: An internal error has occurred” follows. Only on the third attempt does the game finally connect, and this sequence has become the norm. In roughly nine out of ten attempts, the game connects to an almost empty session of around thirty players, or in the worst case, about five. It is effectively no different from offline play. At first, I assumed this was normal due to time of day or low popularity, but that assumption was entirely wrong. If I repeat this pointless connection cycle more than ten times, I am occasionally placed into a session with around one hundred players, proving that I am being connected to low-population sessions far too frequently. Even when I do connect to a crowded session multiple times in a row, the map often displays zero players, or only player names moving without bodies. My list of around twenty friends also reads zero, making communication impossible. Even when connected, the game is effectively broken. Even after forming a party, players begin disappearing at unnatural timings, and I am also disconnected without warning. We vanish from each other’s view with no explanation, unable to understand what happened. It is extremely unpleasant and creates unnecessary tension. There must be a feature allowing players to inform friends afterward that they were disconnected due to connection issues or a bug. Many players likely have no idea this behavior is abnormal. They probably assume being placed in an offline-like empty session is normal, or they simply quit because it is too empty to enjoy. An online sandbox game without people is meaningless and not entertaining. Will this persistent issue truly never be resolved. Is it considered acceptable in its current state. Is there any intention to improve it. Naturally, no other online game on Xbox One suffers from connection failures of this kind.22Views0likes0Commentsrequests
Japanese creator’s opinion. Day 7 since my first play. I started SKATE just to kill some time, but the mix of real skating physics and Saints-Row-style goofy stunts hooked me fast. Still, once you clear the missions, there’s suddenly not much left to do. No new clothes show up, the loop dries out, and boredom hits faster than it should. One big reason: interacting with friends barely matters. Over ninety percent of players are always “party unavailable”, and the whole experience feels almost offline. Forming a party just feels like extra work with almost no benefit, and everyone clearly senses it. Even though the game offers a ton of clothes, accessories, and gestures, none of that really gets used. Everyone moves so fast and silently that no one actually looks at anyone else’s style. People are just skating and flying around. Showing off your look barely matters, which feels like such a waste. Fashion isn’t only for yourself. It includes the joy of being seen. For example, I clear missions seriously, but I also dance like an idiot at hotspots. Other bored players join, more people gather, and we end up having spontaneous dance parties. But most players just skate quietly and ignore each other. Here are my requests and suggestions: Party play is basically four people doing solo tasks at the same time. Rewards are tiny, and there’s almost no reason to play as a team. It would be better if all four players cleared a single mission together, with points combined and rewards distributed so everyone benefits equally, from beginners to veterans. Right now, even if you become friends, there’s nothing meaningful to do together, so everyone ends up splitting up immediately. There should be missions that clearly benefit party play, or that simply cannot be cleared without a party. Since the dance gestures are hilarious, I actually tried doing synchronized dancing with a party. The game absolutely needs goofy gesture-based missions. For example, all players timing gestures together, or everyone slamming into one spot in the dumbest way possible. That shared chaos would feel great. Players who are done with solo missions would keep coming back just to mess around with friends. As mentioned earlier, fashion is barely seen by anyone. No matter how stylish you look, it ends as pure self-satisfaction. Adding just one Like button would change everything. It would also help if viewing someone’s profile showed their full outfit. Since I often stay in one place dancing, people compliment my clothes and send friend requests, but nearly no one else plays this way. Most players don’t look at anyone. If you want the fashion system to shine, SKATE needs a way for players to show off styles and Like each other. New players could discover role models, and creators of great styles would feel motivated. I spent about 2000 yen for clothes, but since no one actually sees them, I don’t feel like buying more. With the system above, I definitely would. As a professional creator, I managed to make a beautiful female character, but customization options are unbalanced. Faces can’t be fine-tuned, so most players struggle to make good-looking women. Eyes especially turn out unappealing for nine out of ten characters. Since bodies seem based on male models, thin builds become wiry and unfeminine. If SKATE includes female clothing and gestures, it should also offer templates for cute faces that match those styles. SKATE is fundamentally a fun game. It only feels wasted in its current form. This is the first time I’ve ever submitted feedback to a game studio. I hope for better development in the future.23Views0likes0CommentsSkateboards and other cosmetics
I think they should add other and more differences in both the skateboards and overall clothes of the person. the shirts are few and far inbetween great but I can admit there is a few okay ones and we appreciate the game for that, but we'd love the game if there was more options. Another example is the shoes, there really isn't many actual options that look like classic skater shoes. On the same hand tho there is a few, but we NEED MORE. Another thing I'd really like to be added more of is helmets, my favorite skater is Andy Anderson and he lives by his helmet. As a skater myself I do as well because I care about my head. I know it's a game but I'd like to be able to at least resemble me in real like if I'd so please. With the boards I wish there was more actual skateboards on it or actual brands. I know it's hard to ask because the fact it's brand name but if you can modify them or get rights I'm sure more people would play. I also believe that different cuts of boards would be cool to have too. Maybe unlockables where you have to use the board a certain amount of time, or do a certain amount of challenges with it equipped? I'm not really for sure how'd they do that but I think it's a good start. I'm also not sure all of these or of any will be met but I have high hopes for the different kinds of boards though, as in cruisers and stuff like that.19Views1like0Comments5 DAYS NO WEEKLY CHALLENGES WORKING!!!

One of the main things I see with the current state of the game is once you’ve mastered the challenges presented… and ranked them out to Level 10…you are left with spot ‘self discovery’! Why not enhance that gameplay? You’ve given us plenty of objects to add into the sandbox…I’m thinking player created skate spot challenges… Throwdowns are just a competition to beat your fellow player with a high score… why not expand those options by an enhancement to the current UI by adding a “create a spot” and/or “challenge”? Allow us the ability to design our own challenge and present it like a “throwdown”. Player developed content challenges/sessions would be a perfect next step in development to me. You could also allow us to create our own parks again. P.S. And bring back “Frank” for the love of GOD and all things SACRED and HOLY to us SKATERS! Might just have to write to Jason Lee and beg him to contact you at EA!14Views0likes0Comments
