Are driver ratings connected to a EA account?
Hello! I decided to make an account because I wanted to check something involving driver ratings and I have been playing the older F1 titles for comparison. So in the older games if you were playing on console you would automatically sign into codemaster's racenet servers, which would obviously give you access to multiplayer or any other online features like driver rating updates. now I assume EA has taken over this kind of concept and put their own spin on it by requiring you to input a email and make a EA account instead of it all being automated. A few months ago I bought WRC on sale, I decided to use a tempmail address cause I didn't really want to use my actual personal email for a game that at the end of the day requires me to have a account to play online. I didn't really care much for it and it got blocked and banned a hour later cause of that, which was no big deal since I wanted to play singleplayer anyways. I didn't care much for multiplayer or any external online features. Fast forward to f1 25, I managed to pick up the game physically second hand so I didn't pay full price and I run into the same issue "your EA account is blocked yada yada" however with this season 2 update there's driver ratings! And in the older games you would have to go into your email through the online portion of the game to update the ratings (2021 did this) now I ask, are the driver ratings automatically applied on installation or do I have to have a EA account to update driver ratings? If it's the latter, that's ridiculous. I can't unlink the previous temp mail address because EA's whole thing about permanently linking a email to a Xbox account And I can't just simply switch it over to the current one I just made now today to fix this issue. The fact that a driver rating update is behind a account wall that, most people probably don't want to just simply throw their email at because knowing companies like EA they have data breaches all the time is unacceptable. Any response to clear this up would be nice, thank you.18Views0likes0CommentsF1 TWO PLAYER CAREER RAIN “BUG”
I was playing the two-player career mode with my friend in Mexico when DRS was enabled. The strange thing is that it was raining heavily, yet DRS was permitted as early as lap 2. is it a bug? Is there anyone here who would know if the new fanatec sdk for xbox to unlock button mapping and LED function is implemented? I have been waiting for so many years and fanatec is claiming it is coming soon. I would be very disappointed if for some reason EA decides to not implement.Solved2.3KViews14likes50CommentsMclaren x Google Chrome livery
The new Mclaren livery has been released now and I claimed it but got welcomed with a screen that said "you have been awarded 0 Pitcoin". I have restarted the game and nothing has shown up indicating that I can use the livery. How do I use the livery?Solved388Views0likes21CommentsGame seems too bright and vibrant,
The first time i loaded onto F1 25, everything was fine. However i loaded on a few hours later and something seemed off, the loading screen had a green border and when the F1 25 screen came up it seemed as if the contrast was really high and when i started a braking point race everything was so bright it was unplayable. i searched it and saw someone with the same exact issue. i checked my TV settings and everything was fine, other games were running perfectly, i tried turning off HDR (im on xbox) and adjusting my gamma settings, yet nothing changed. i uninstalled the game and reinstalled it ive done everything, this has to be a bug and i hope it gets fixed. due to the fact im on console the only graphics settings i can change as of now (gamma setting still locked) is Motion Blur Strength and Steering Animation. i cannot go in my f1 settings and disable HDR, only on my console which still didnt work EDIT: i just took some screenshots on my console and the difference between them and what im seeing on my screen is insane. in the screenshots the game seems so dark (i had to put gamma on 50) but in the game its so bright?2025 Special Livery Feature
The F1 games have always featured special events where you can either unlock special liveries from the current season, 2023 had the likes of the special Ferrari Las Vegas livery, The 2023 RB Miami livery, The McLaren Triple Crown livery and so on and so forth. F1 2024 didn't feature much, maybe one or two from either McLaren and maybe another manufacturer, however with the current season of F1, I feel that there's some really special liveries that stand out in a big way, regardless if you're a fan of the particular team or not, for example, this year we got probably one of the most iconic liveries from Red Bull with the Japan race with the white and red livery, which paid tribute to Honda by sporting a design inspired by the RA272, which gave the engine manufacturer its inaugural win back in 1965. (pictured below) We've also seen McLaren sporting their Monaco livery a week or two ago (pictured below) and we've also seen Haas with their Japan livery (pictured below) My point is that I feel that EA should consider adding a function for whenever you create a grand prix, maybe career or whatever mode allows you to race the official F1 cars and underneath where you select the team / car to race in, adding a "Toggle Special Livery" option which allows you to switch between the special liveries that manufacturer has released during the season. For example and pictured below, this function could simply be added beside the advance option, I'm on console so my advance option is A but there could be an option beside this that switches the liveries of that manufacturer, maybe the X button or whatever corresponding button or key bind you have on your platform of choice (mock up pictured below) I also feel that considering that for other titles such as Assetto Corsa, a team of people or even one person can create a livery as soon as it's revealed in real life and released to the public for free or an optional donation to the creator for their hard work. Pictured below is both this seasons Red Bull Japan Livery and McLaren's Monaco livery for Assetto Corsa. Now, it's understandable that when it comes to certain sponsors, maybe EA can't acquire certain licencing deals and it's understandable that in EA Sports F1 games, they don't feature any alcohol or gambling sponsors as that would then make the game rated for 18's or above and EA want to cater to all age groups and casual audiences, however I feel that requesting a function like this should be a simple enough ask for the fans of the series and of the sport who want to race around tracks with their favourite liveries throughout the season. And before it's mentioned or even considered, this shouldn't be a function or additional content that we seen back in F1 2023 where we could only use the Ferrari Las Vegas livery for roughly a week or two and then the car reverted back to it's default livery, no, this is an update that adds a functionality to simply toggle liveries at your discretion so that we can race in our favourite liveries now and into the future, for as long as the game is active. So please EA or any devs or community managers reading this post, please consider this feature as liveries such as the above have already released prior to the games launch so it feels that even with the current roadmap or plans ahead, these liveries might be missed. Please also share you own thoughts below and upvote this as much you can if you feel that you agree with this idea for a future update or near soon update!615Views2likes6Comments
