What I remember from the entire text: 6 years of testing for lags, which means 6 years that you knew something was wrong with the product you're selling, and yet you're just launching one after the other new release as if nothing is wrong. 6 years of buying new routers and gaming pads, screwing around with ports and gateways, long calls with internet providers, because EA said everything was ok on their side, so it had to be my setup. And yet you knew it was the game.
In these 6 years, you also not only blew up the relationship with the organization that gave you the name and fame to replace it with something meaningless, you als did the same with your loyal fan base by ruining everything that still worked in the game, introducing scrupuleous 'pay to win' gambling systems which turn out to be mostly empty boxes in the end, putting unnecessary play modes in it and even some sort of a ridiculeous story line that died a silent death after two years. I've worked for companies where manager heads were chopped off for a lot less, believe me...
And then comes out this new game trailer. With such arrogance, announcing that you listen to your customers, while you abandonned them for such a long time, while only promising nothing more than what we actually expect from a football game. Or what used to work but doesn't work anymore for quite some time.
Do you really expect a tap on the shoulder now, EA? Along with a "Well done", maybe? You will get it once this game turns out to be amazing. But keep in mind that this is probably the last chance to make something out of this franchise. The belief and trust is at an all time low. If you blow it this time, it is game over.
