If the gap between relics widens even slightly, I will leave this game and stop giving this developer money.

If you think you can earn more by forcing a few players to donate large amounts of money to high-level relics for their units, you are mistaken. The loss of a large number of players who donate a little but regularly will bury the game. Even the richest whales can't save a game if most of the players leave.
