As a one that enjoys seeing underdog team compositions for free to play accounts win against high relic but minimal skill team compositions, I am opposed to this approach.
A relic 9 ewok for example up against a Galactic legend nevertheless the power level should always have a low differential considering the class of character being more rare, harder to attain given character requirements, and time/use of special gear unlike other characters. There are exceptions, which adds to strategy (Geo Brood Alpha in Grand Area, GAS, ect.)
I would be less opposed if relic ampliiers 7-9 were about 40 percent easier to attain in the resources whether that be in less resources required or more resources gained through events and the stores.
I just think that this can shake up an entire 5 years of a players resource investment if they are still trying to reach full relic 8 teams because of the time required and incentive to completely max teams that are meta versus spreading out a lot of good relic teams.
