Be honest, after forcing the expense by allowing relics to be given to characters who didn't have 7 stars, you're going to force the expense by preventing inferior relics to beat the higher relics. With a few exceptions, counters will no longer be valid, the conquest will become complicated, in short you know exactly the impact that this will have. I'm FTP and I have no plans to stop playing at the moment, just as I have no plans to spend any money. By doing this you save me time: if I know I can't win there's no point in playing and if I can't get the last conquest box, I'll play it at least for the penultimate box.
This was the plan from the start, we are not naive, as soon as you make an update that is apparently favorable to players, it follows an update that proves that only profits matter.
Rather than doing something no one in the galaxy asked for, it would be better to address store slowdowns and other aspects of the game that are outdated.
If it's no longer fun to play, I can predict a number of stops, just as one can predict that the differential between relic levels will not be as high as advertised. Some will say that it is a good compromise but it was planned from the start.
