QoL is a great thing.
Most of these changes look good in isolation. I applaud sim-ability of time-consuming battles like SRII for instance.
However, the state of the game right now is exceptionally poor. And other recent changes have angered the community. Unkillable Grievous, audio bugs, fleet meta issues after the release of P1 and the 'update' to Leviathan (resulting in higher-effort/impact GAC and TW battles ending in coinflips). The raid is still an artistically well-styled atrocious time sink.
A major gauntlet guild recently dissolved yet again, and you're making it harder for 'new' accounts to hit the gauntlet level without spending insane amounts of money. Even whales don't like a game without player opposition.
These changes combined are not good for the health of the game.
Changes like this, therefore - and most importantly another 'in-game battlepass' to spend on monthly, make it seem like you're just trying to get a few more payments out of your last whales before the game completely dies.
You need to engage your spenders and power accounts more, along with important figures to the game community (i.e. content creators, experts on the reddit/discords, etc.) in order to better understand the state of the game's health and work to alleviate more problems. Urgently. Meathead pushing news at us maybe once a week is wildly insufficient.
Last thing. It's a Star Wars game. Where the hell is Red 5 Luke?!
