Capital Games TeamI tend to not like temporary stuff as well, but just wanted to throw out there that you can definitely get all the rewards with the clones you have. It takes some patience and a few retries but I had 3 stars on tiers with just Appo and CX2 at R9. The rest of the R9s for the team paid for themselves with the repeats of the assault battle.
This one seems even more generous to me - instead of having to whale on two brand new units, we have one, and we get to use a conquest character that most people will acquire for free. Conquest characters are the most F2P accessible units out there. So far until the tiers that require Master Windu (which you'll also be getting, I assume) it's half the investment required for the same rewards. Seems like a win to me.
(Edit: I have done all the tiers before the final one, in case you happened to be talking about those.) I wonder how much CX-2 makes a difference there. The R9 Appo and Scorch combo just isn't generating enough damage for me to push through Shaak's healing on the final tier. I got past her once and got obliterated by Jar Jar Beq. My mods aren't god tier, but they aren't that bad either. I'm not anywhere near the mats for another R9 currently, so that's unfortunate.
Also, don't you convince me to keep going on those last two! I'm trying to stay on the fence here... (I already have JoNu at R5, not that I really use her yet at all...)
