Thanks for the context, very much appreciated. 

What if there was things to add to the relics? Like in other games they have sockets and gems, that could add the needed progression you are looking for without upsetting the current apple cart?

Could scale to the current relic lvl they are on say at r9 add 30% offence and df and r7 it would be less , so there would be more variety within the relic system too, but also an added bonus to those with the fully upgraded r9 or 10.

Probably gunna get burnt in the comments for a stupid suggestion lol
