I actually agree with the rationale here. The value of R9 in terms of deliverable results in game does not match the scarcity of its required materials. As such, I'm sure CG has seen a lack of enthusiasm from the playerbase in upgrading toons except in instances of hard requirements for events.
The thing is, I think relic delta is still entirely avoidable. The issue I take with this post is in the Scalability heading. See, when CG made the transition to scalable systems years ago, I expected to see an explosion of new content and QoL updates. After all, resources were freed up, right? And yet, we never saw a drastic increase of interesting content. In terms of new content, we get a new raid roughly every year, which is no faster than in the first few years of the game's inception. We get a new planet in TB every once in awhile, but that's hardly groundbreaking. And can we really say the toon release schedule is heightened now? Meanwhile, TW languishes in a state that should have been revamped half a decade ago. And QoL updates, which should be coming out the door monthly, are incredibly rare and limited in scope. It boggles my mind that we still can't remove or edit a TW defensive team. Or that we can't set TB platoons ahead of time. Or have a solution to fix the insane amount of screentime TB missions require, which is one of the main reasons players leave the game.
If you want to talk about scalability, I'd suggest SCALING UP YOUR TEAM to an appropriate level commiserate with the revenues this game has brought in. That way you'll have the resources to make lots of engaging content, fix bugs quickly, and have an assembly line of QoL updates to keep the playerbase happy. Then you won't need relic delta to twist the arm of whatever remaining players there are after this update goes live.
