Blog Post
I appreciate the communication and actually telling me why you're doing what you're doing. I think that a limited info release like the blog post teasing Relic Delta and then leaving it to the playtesters to actually pass on the info on numbers involved was a mistake. You guys shot yourself in the foot by not beginning with this blogpost. I also hope - for your sake - that at this point you're adept at ignoring the incoherent rage, the screeching, the infantile "didn't read, don't care" and other similar worthless comments and picking out actual meaningful feedback from the noise - alongside witty and incredibly good and flawless and award-worthy satirical poetry like the one I posted a few days ago wink wink nudge nudge.
Including "information" like the really strange 3.1% thing in a document the playtesters showed us on YouTube is not helpful, it's a bit of vague and frankly meaningless statistics that only accomplishes pouring fuel on the angry fires. My first thought after seeing that was "well, if this is a fix for 3.1% of encounters, why are y'all doing it?" My second thought was that a company wouldn't be spending time and resources to actually fix something that applies to 3.1% of cases: it's either too altruistic for a capitalist entity, or too nakedly egregious of a case of "we're signalling doing something to avoid fixing actual problems" when stuff like Disappearing Buttons, Drunk Ships, Shipment Lag, and other persistent and annoying and sometimes gamebreaking bugs are incredibly commonplace.
So, don't take this as me patting you on the head and being super nice and positive: there are things that you guys have - at least as visible to the playerbase - been ignoring, in some cases for years, that really need to be fixed in SWGOH. You are not exempt from dumb, awful, greedy ideas, even if you can come up messaging that looks like something else on the surface.
However, I also don't think Capital Games is 100% pure evil, so seeing an informative post like this reassures me that you might know what you're doing with this. In any case, I find doomerism about SWGOH to be generally a silly position to take, so I'm gonna wait and see how this update shakes out when it's live in the game.
Also give me more mod loadouts. 200 mod loadout cap. 300+ characters. This math doesn't math!
