This is the "You guys all have cell phones, right?" Moment for CG.  Your community is telling you their exact feelings, they are not split on this, and you are like a bad manager who says, "We are going to do it anyways, you'll like it, trust me.". Listen to your people, you have a passionate community telling you what they don't want.  It shouldn't be this hard.
