I have an issue with this; In one breath, you say "The core problem is that Relics don't have a scalable system component promoting and rewarding investment." In the next breath, you say, "R10 would be in the exact same state as R9. It plays into and exacerbates the existing problem rather than solving it." Then, after stating these 2 things, you say "With these changes, Relic 10 is being added to the game (though please see above as to why it doesn’t solve the core problem)." If it "exacerbates" the problem, why is it being added? That's just lip service. It doesn't solve the problem and "exacerbates the existing problem". You can't have it both ways. All of this reeks to high heaven of nothing more than another money grab. (You're also kind of vague about how relic mats will be found other than the Scavenger, which doesn't fix that issue and only creates another avenue for a bottleneck.) While I'm all for making changes to a growing game, maybe you should start with fixing the bugs first. I haven't even seen a reasonable test for DCs (no, increasing/decreasing stats doesn't cut it) and, in true CG fashion, you want to instigate a change without fully testing potential ramifications. You people need to actually listen to your community rather than ram though what you want to do or you'll end up in the same boat as MSF with a 3rd or more of the base leaving the game. That would definitely not fix the current issues. I'm sure that I haven't really articulated my concerns, but I would assume that you get the gist.
