A terrible idea and a strange explanation. I don't see in any way how introducing a wild disparity in character stats makes the game better. Essentially, you are killing tactics and replacing them with a raw set of high-level gear. For example, newcomers who can't immediately equip their squad with high-level relics will have no way to learn from battle, since defeating an opponent will be almost impossible in a number of cases, and therefore, they won't be able to gain any battle experience. Furthermore, the new holocrons can make squads with high-level relics virtually unbeatable.
Thanks for deciding to break the game even more, a game that already had major problems with balance and the relevance of old characters compared to new ones.
