The era release system is terrible. Not being able to use/test characters for sometimes months after release removes so much desire to get any new heroes, and 'early era pressure' is never going to be alleviated because most earnable upgrade materials cant be earned for weeks.
Coliseum might be the most boring game mode there is, with set limitations on 'you have this era level, you get this score', and next to no playability until near the end of the era because we dont have half the characters. The leaderboard system should also be scrapped and the daily rewards integrated into daily quests, because noone cares about a leaderboard for a mode that is 100% pay to win.
Era challenges are god-awful. Even more so than coliseum they are just a case of you get rewards purely based on era level. Theyre also similarly flawed in their design because of how the era release schedule works.
The era level system and transition is also far too overcomplicated. so many levels that offer zero upgrade, just a resource sink. If we have to have it, it should be 1 gear piece per level, 6 levels is a gear tier, up to level 72, and a relic level for each era level after that. That way every era level provides an upgrade to the character. There also shouldnt be so many different resources for levelling. 1 would be fine, 3 at a push, similar to how we have 3 GET token tiers or 3 raid token tiers, with each level just needing an increasing amount
