Add some hidden power to older teams, make us find specific comps and strategies to beat different teams, make us choose which teams to place where to try to force your opponent to use the wrong counters and get stuck.

No need of a fix. You should fix the no button bug instead.

What happened was it was making a mockery of their "newest" "latest" "greatest" GL, PKHO. 

I don't agree with that validation, even as a PKHO owner, but that's the simple answer. Can't allow anything that might give the plebs a reasonable counter to him. 

Hi fellas, we found a bug that allows you to win, so we're fixing it immediately.  the other bug where the crone throws a gun at you, we're still investigating because it takes your rewards away and benefits us.   

Hopefully there is a mess up so we can get more free light speed tokens. Also so they can mess that up and give us more for that mess up of the mess up.

My guess is it will be fixed around March-ish.

not sure why that seems to be likely. I just have a feeling.
