Yeah, acknowledging it 9.5 hours after it started. They deserve no thanks for their non-existent quality control prior to events starting. This is becoming a far too frequent occurence. Whoever is involved for their poor excuse of a testing team needs to be sacked immediately

As a former tester, sacking overwhelmed folks seems like the opposite of what you want to do. I have a lot of respect for the profession and QA is the first on the firing line when things go wrong. Truth is (and no one wants to hear it) is that this is probably a legacy code base with an absolute ton of unintended interactions and manual testing is a nightmare. Couple that with corporations thinking QA is a waste of money and you arrive here. That said, tier 5 is pissing me off royally.
