- What is the power level of a legendary team with a conquest lifter? I think that's new.
- Ever since Commander Ahsoka Tano we’ve viewed Conquest characters as a place where we can plus up another squad in terms of power, which we have referred to as a “lifter” in the past. Jocasta will bump her upcoming legendary unit similar to how past Conquest units have bumped up their respective squads.
- Why no synergy with Snips as they spend an episode together?
- Snips isn’t part of the Jedi Vanguard faction, which is what Jocasta’s kit was built around.
- did you consider a call out to Grand Inquisitor in her kit because of their arc in the comic that inspired this toon
- We really wanted to lean into the rifle in her kit, including the moment where she loads her lightsaber into it as the power source. Due to how complicated this made the kit, we had to scale back on some of the other cool call-outs we could have made. Additionally, an upcoming Jedi Vanguard unit will have those nods to Grand Inquisitor you are looking for.
- Does she have 3 omicrons? It's hard to tell when looking at her kit.
- Yes. Because of the transformation elements in the kit it was a bit trickier to display everything cleanly in the post. But she does have an omicron on her Basic, Special 1, and her Unique. The omicron advantages for the Basic and Special only trigger though when she has already transformed.
- Would any bonus protection Jocasta have also be included in the damage calculation involving her protection?
- Yes. All Protection Up, bonus Protection, and Shield Up effects contribute their maximum value to the unit's Max Protection stat while they are present, regardless of how much Protection is remaining on that effect.
- "It Belongs in a Museum" says "If they had Defense Down, Expose, or Tenacity Down, inflict that debuff on all enemies for 1 turn, and she gains the opposite buff for 1 turn", what is the opposite of Expose?
- There currently isnt an opposite to Expose. This was done to try to save a bit of space in the text. If one were to be created in the future it would be added here.
- Can I be your spokes person why this unit is so exciting?
- Sure. We really love this unit and what she brings to Star Wars as a whole. The lightsaber rifle was a really inspired piece of technology added to the universe.
- Was her second transformed ability inspired by Ghostbusters?
- We tried to replicate the panels from the comic for her abilities with the rifle.
- In the comics, the rifle was described as only having 5 shots before running out of ammo. Were there discussions during development to include that little bit of lore in her kit?
- If there were they were quickly outweighed by the hoop needed to activate the rifle in the first place. We worried that only having 5 shots would make the rifle feel like a drawback rather than an upgrade. There is a bit of a nod to this with her losing all her current protection to expend the shot.
- On "My Turn" can the Max Health reduction be resisted, and does it happen before or after the damage from the attack is applied?
- Her Siphon is for reducing Max Protection and that can’t be resisted (excluding Galactic Legends and Raid Bosses). This reduction occurs after the damage is applied.
- Will any legacy characters receive stat or kit changes? I love Ima Gun Di so am very excited for the tag change.
- This is something we are keeping an eye on as we work on the full upcoming Vanguard team.
- In the abilities marked with omicron upgrades, there is no call out for a specific game mode, does this mean her omicrons will be active in every game mode?
- The omicrons are for Grand Arenas and would only work there. The text describing what she gains upon transforming is in her Chief Librarian text-only ability. We wanted to separate out her lightsaber abilities from her rifle abilities.
- Do the post-transform abilities need to be upgraded as well or are they right off the gate the best they can be (like SEE's post-transform abilities)?
- Chief Librarian explains a bit how the post-transform abilities would work. The upgrades for the post-transform are based on the upgrades of the pre-transform (By the Book; Shhh! Quiet!) tiers. So what those post-transform abilities can do will be impacted by Zeta and Omicron upgrades for example as long as the pre-transform abilities are invested in.
- Her unique dispels debuffs when she gets her bonus turn, which means undispellable debuffs will stay (unlike GAS who REMOVES debuffs). How will this interact with undispellable ability block (e.g. from LV)? She has to use a special during her bonus turn, but it will be blocked, will she just use a basic, get defeated without doing anything, or crash the game?
- Undispellable debuffs will not be dispelled. For the undispellable ability block, the player will be forced in that instance to use the basic instead and then be defeated after if there are any remaining enemies.
- Its just 65 health right, not 65% ?
- Correct, just 65 health.
- Her basic mentions tenacity down, defense down, and expose as debuffs that she would gain the opposite buffs for. Is there an opposite of expose? Is it safe to assume only 'X Down / X Up' are considered 'opposite' buffs? What about Vulnerable and Critical Hit Immunity? Stealth/Marked? Provoked/Retribution?
- There currently isn't an opposite to Expose. This was done to try to save a bit of space in the text. If one were to be created in the future it would be added here. X Down/X Up would be opposite in the case for Jocasta. She would get Tenacity Up and Defense Up from her Basic. I can't speak to the others as they weren't addressed in her kit.
- Is throwing the rifle able to be used only when she is about to be defeated?
- Yes thats correct. It’s a bit of a last gasp effect meant to either achieve victory or be defeated.
- Is the first toon to transform?
- No. Sith Eternal Emperor, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, and Cassian Andor with his omicron can all transform or “disguise” in the case of Andor.
- Are the archives finally complete?
- We’re constantly mining the entire Star Wars universe for cool and exciting units to bring to our squad/fleet-based combat game. Now that we have tightly defined and thematic Eras, you can expect more squads, new factions, and, yes, more deep-cut units like Jocasta Nu added on a regular basis.
