This is so sloppy.
It is only Tax deductible in the US.
You can't even do the bare minimum with this.
Though I'm sure you're happy with the headline "CG donates 100k to Extra Life"

I'm no tax expert, but I'm fairly certain donations for taxes only applies if you itemize your tax return.
Most people take the standard deduction anyway so it doesn't apply.

Are you really crying that you can't write off an $85 donation to a children's hospital? They didn't write foreign tax laws. That'd save you, what, $3 in taxes?

Why doesn't CG donate the $85? Why don't the match our donations? Why don't they doubly match our donations? CG makes nearly 3 times the American national average per employee. Why don't your taxes cover these things in the first place?
This is a tax scam. It costs CG nothing. They reward us with things that have no value. They donate that money. That money counts against their taxes. CG comes out richer, with a public relations win and the only one that has actually been defrauded is whoever thought that they could make a difference that way.

EA CG are so lucky they have you to defend them.
Just imagine if you weren't here to save the company from my slander.
Lucky you, a hero, knocked me silly with you brilliant rhetoric.
If not for you, how would I have known that when they boldly claim it is tax-deductible that they really commenting on their inability to write tax law worldwide.
You saw right through me and noticed that when I was commenting on CG's specific claims that I was actually revealing that it was the cost that I was so indigent with.
You are a true hero!
