I'm not surprised if EA said they need to keep up their profits or threaten to sunset the game. The eras and episodes is conveniently structured around the fiscal calendar, with each episode being a 3 month quarter.
Imagine sitting in on those earnings calls
Even if it means cutting the throats of the F2P player base with this horrid rewards track taking away their omis and gear from crates.
expecting them to complete the reward track opposed to a quick battle or two during GCs and securing your couple omis and kyro for the event.
I've never seen a post that so very wrong. lol. You are getting everything you got before in fact you are getting more gear from the crates. All you have to do is play the game normally. Use your currency to buy omis and kyros each week from the store. You still have 19,000 extra to buy what you specifically need which is always going to be better than random rewards. You are getting it at the same pace as before. 8 red boxes of gear was 4x8 purple and 2x8 gold. Those are all still in the reward track and you are also getting 40 blue gear boxes. Gold Injector finishers you got 5x8 of a random one before. You are getting 20 of each now which is 20 more. People that are so bad at understanding that this is a good thing is frustrating and rabble rousing people isn't helpful. The math isn't in your favor.
