There was a lot wrong with the show. Why was Ki adi mundi in it? He was 60 in phantom menace. Meaning he wasn't born yet during acolyte. Jedi can deflect blaster bolts but cant dodge or deflect a hand thrown knife. The writing was that of a high school fan fiction completely ignoring continuity and rewriting 30 years of cannon. I’ll appreciate the new as long as they maintain the old.
He was 60 in Legends. Legends is not canon. Even before the Acolyte, he had no canon birthdate. So yes, he can be in it.
The Jedi was distracted saving someone's life. That's literally the whole point.
When people point out garbage writing it does not make them toxic. How many times did the Jedi forget their powers when it was convenient for the plot? How can you not sense the difference between the twins? It was just some of the worst exposition and character development ever. That's not toxic - it's truth.

Edit. After finishing the kit. I see the leader will give the acolyte tag to the team if it follows the rules. But they did say a new toon will take Mara’s spot as well.
His lead gives the Acolyte tag, so maybe not?

Notice that their leader ability grants the Acolyte tag to all allies if the classical 2dUFUs+1lUFU+1Jedi+1Sith(Stranger itself) conditions are met :)
