Capital Games TeamThey aren't going to revert the update that they have spend thousands of manhours developing. The best you can hope for is them adjusting it after this beta playtesting that is happening right now.
Personally, I think the episodes / eras plan is a decent design. The execution of it leaves room for improvement though, particularly to remove the feeling of a cash grab, and hopefully they will make adjustment. I suggest either give free players some of the rewards from finishing feats (perhaps the zeta, aero, brain and omi rewards, but not the individual feat points), or hide the paywalled feats until a person buys the pass. The former is preferable, because it is more playable content for everyone.
We all know that there is a fast track that costs money. The place to advertise that, is in the shop, where players who are willing to pay money will go looking. To everyone else, advertisements and reminders are just an annoyance.
If you leave because of this update, I think you were probably on your way out anyway, and you're probably a bit too emotionally attached to the game, so perhaps leaving is the right option for you.
I'm staying to see how this plays out. This update is not the end of the game, and in a few months you will probably have forgotten what was before it.
