What the heck are you planning to do about the Punishing one completely making profundity useless!!?? Spent a year building it just so that you could make the 2nd best ship in the game now garbage!! Fox it or I'll see y'all later!!!!!

Executor already easily beat Prof.
- RecentEffort1 year agoNew Vanguard
Prof could easily beat executor on offense. Now I lose to a 5 executor with a 3 P1. That's bulls***

Yeah, Exec beat Profundity BUT Profundity could beat Exec so it was 1:1, fair game. Now Profundity can eat dirt. It's useless. Your chances vs Exec P1 are 0%. I repeat 0%. There's no possible win outcome of that encounter.
Exec can fight anyone, Leviathan can fight anyone, but Profundity can't and since it's one of 3 top fleets it's a waste of resources cause it can do as much as any non-gl fleets can. - G0rkil1 year agoSeasoned Newcomer
That's exactly the point, both ships 'easily' counter each other, as it should be. This powerhouse squads (be it fleet or ground units) designed to draw the most money possibles irregardless of the majority of the playerbase is getting brutally out of hand

A dark day for Profundity!!

You can also just have executor as well.

Profundity can also be beaten by Tarkin with four ships (Tie Bomber reinforcement). They haven't cared about profundity for years because it's not the "new shiny."
The last time they did anything for profundity was when they added an isolate so it wouldn't beat the fleet that "changes the meta!" we believed would last year.

They released Punishing One with the intent of making the Eex-Prof matchup favorable for Exec.
There's nothing to "fox." It's clearly working as intended. This is how meta and power creeps work. New Characters come in to shake things up. Your comment is the equivalent of someone complaining that you invested in Malak and he loses to GAS (which is also by design).
It's working as intended. And no, Profundity is not garbage. It still handles plenty of fleets.

Did you seriously compared the investments for Malak too the investments of Profundity? I must of missed the part where Malak needed 1xR9, 1xR8, 1xR7, 4xR5 plus 7 ships to unlock. Not to mention that you can unlock Malak at any time while a capital ship you only take a year and a half, or cough up 25k crystals to get to 7*. Not quite the same league now is it?.... I have all 3, Levi, Prof, and Exe, so to me it doesn't really make a difference, but I can totally understand the frustration of everyone who isn't far enough. This new ship is not "lifter" as advertised, it is literally makes Exe unbeatable with any kind of Profundity lineup. And a lot of people chose two skip Exe and go straight for Prof, because it could beat both Profs and Exes consistently. For a F2P person this is a huge slap. From your comment I can only assume that you're one of the people who only had Executor, and this only has a positive outcome for you. But for those who got Profundity, and even those who used Chimera toys counter Leviathan, and even Leviathan owners this is a problem.
Leviathan :
The original Fury-B28-Sith Fighter now had to be changed to Fury-B28-Tie Dagger. The issue with this is that a lot of us brought our Sith Assassin (Pilot of Sith Fighter) to R7-8-9 so we have a better chance with Leviathan mirrors. Whoever has the higher relic goes first. Now our Sith assassin isn't even in the starting lineup.
Chimera :
Could fairly consistently counter the original Leviathan lineup, but the new one it doesn't seem to be nearly as reliable
Profundity :
Couldn't beat Leviathan, was able to beat Executor but now it has 0 chance, and a "GL ship" that can't beat any of the other "GL ships" have pretty much lost it's status and value. it basically became a glorified Negotiator counter overnight.
Show me a single GL out of the 8 who can't beat a single GL other than a mirror match... I'll wait.....

"People chose"
Comment ends there. You chose something. You made a decision. It didn't pay off. Choices have consequences.
Basic power creep. Exec was older so it would get touched up first. This game is old and predictable. Our big trio is Exec-Prof-Levi. Exec was the weakest and got buffed. Leviathan is getting a buff to keep it at the top.
Basic pattern recognition.
We don't have Red 5 and Profundity is struggling. Gee, I wonder which Capital is getting a lifter next.

Profundity still beats exec/Punishing one. You have to play it right though. Avoid the mass attacks for sure. https://youtu.be/EVy6IFc-F3s?si=4-C8_UChKw7vmAV2
